Duty Finder trolling....

Why do people go into Duty Finder just to troll? And this is something I don't understand because if you do this then you die as well as your team.

For example, yesterday I was queuing on Titan(Hard) as Paladin, and when we entered the other tank was lvl 50 gladiator. This threw me off at first then I examined his/her gear and they had allagan Gloves which drop on turn 4.
The player proceeds to tell me that he needs this fight for relic. At this point a quick lodestone search for their name revealed they had Relic+1 as well as Several Myth iLvl90 gear and Allagan drops. Yet they were equipped in a combination of darklight ilvl 45 gear and a few allagan pieces.

I didn't think much of it, since if you are gladiator you cant use relic+1 (but they said they needed fight for relic)... until the fight started. I was main tanking and they would provoke right before Landslide to try and get me (the tank) hit by landslide. It normally never targets the tank so they would try and steal hate to get me killed.

This player than proceeds to ask me where I got my armor was it in "crystal coil" which I found it odd, since they themselves had allagan drops. And I told them, in coil they should know, and they proceed to keep talking about "crystal coil" even after I told them Crystal Tower was patch 2.1. Then we wiped, and he/she said "how am I to get relic now?" and then left.

Now this is just weird. Why would you even bother doing this? Anyway Sorry for the post it's mainly a rant and me venting, I just quite don't understand people sometimes.

They're probably capped for the week and bored, it's disappointing you have to put up with this but thankfully the vote kick option and mvp system is right around the corner so hopefully they help make a difference.

lets see, AH! Here's a good one, not trolling but I think they didn't fully understand how Stone Skin works.

I was in a dungeon with a WHM and the WHM cast Stone Skin on me, we got through the dungeon and about after half way the WHM asked me not to do the thing what removes status effects *Meaning Stone Skin* I was a Tank in the dungeon and for the life of me I couldn't think of what he means. Plus my knowledge about Stone Skin wasn't much. So we cleared the dungeon then I realized that Stone Skin wears off after I take 10% of my HP. So of course me being the Tank, Stone Skin would wear off as it should :P

Golden? that sounded like the worst troll attempt ever. Crystal coil? did he think someone would actually go for this? this was a fail attempt at being funny. Even if I was on board with trolling ppl I would find this a very lame attempt. Like being a stand up comedian and telling knock knock jokes.

Honestly the way he talked I thought he was either drunk or foreign. I just found it odd that from the start he said he needed for relic yet was on a class and not a job so it was a troll as soon as he queued.

Vote kick will be kinda useless in trials like primals since they can't be replaced so this is going to go on for awhile, though take some comfort in knowing they're actually rare. They tend to be more common late night and weekends for obvious reasons though, so expect that. I tend to not group up on weekends because of this.
