What is the correct way of labeling artifact armor?

My questions however:

1. What is allagan tier called?
2. What is the new CT-tier gear called?
3. Is AF2 gear (art work from SE) the upcoming CT-gear?

1) & 2) Here's how I call them (first one is the name I use more often):
- Allagan gears or "90" gears
- "80" gears or Crystal gears or CT gears or sub-high gears
- Mytho gears or AF+1 or 2nd AFs

I call leveling af gear "af", current myth gear "af+1" or "af1", and then when they release 2.2 and the armor they showed off for it i'll call it "af+2" or "af2" because lol at thinking that armor will be anything more than the new myth gear.

I dunno who came up with these complex label, but the way i see it is the lvl 45 ones are PRE-AF coz of the lvl differences in each of them with the body being only lvl 50. The i90 ones are the real AF (true AF), and the allaghan are a different type of set but they shouldn't be called AF. There shouldn't be any AF+1 or +2, its only AF2, AF3. This how it we label it in FFXI.

At the end of the day this is all just an opinion, I hope nobody thinks they're actually right or wrong here. It's pretty easy to communicate what you're talking about here either way, if somebody says af+1 or af2 you will assume it means myth gear. Until more job armor is released or until they actually allow you to +1 the items in question nobody can really tell people they are right or wrong.

Kinda incorrect. The current sets (quested and myth) labels can be considered debatable, but what messed everyone up is when they showed the new the armor sketches they are labelled AF2 in the corner. For example (Says Bard AF2):



I would definitely say the devs get to decide what is right and wrong lol.

But where people get messed up is a lot were calling myth gear AF2 before those designs were shown.

the ilvl 90myth gear I call AF+1 (because it looks exactly like AF just different colors and stronger)

AF2 is the new job specific sets that havent been released yet.

Allagan is just called Allagan or Coil gear

CT will just be CT

I've seen it called AF2, Relic and Myth gear though. Meth gear is a new favourite.
