Once you learn the rotation (even one cycle is enough to get the hang of WOTL if you only focus on their timing) you can pre-emptively move. I ALWAYS get lag when I hit Titan HM for some reason. I just move to the side and away from other party members when I know it's coming, I'm already moving and I won't run into one when it drops. EVERY fight in this game has mechanics that need to be learned in order to beat them, and that's all Titan requires too.

Your absolutely right, it's all about being prepared.

As for the lag thing they mentioned they knew what they problem was, something to do with having all the worlds in each data center sharing the same instances. so they split them into smaller chunks. hoping that allivates the lag issues!

If you are dying to Ifrit HM, that's saddening. Garuda can be done easily by DF or Server PUGs, but Don't DF Titan, 9/10 you will have a group of people trying to rush content and are under geared. Make a group on your server, this way you can control who joins and can replace people as needed. Bring 1 Tank 5 DD and 2 Healers for Titan. A stat boost will not help your poor mechanics or 56k connection. People leave because they do not want to waste their time if the same person dies each run. They cut their losses and try again.

I managed to down him today with a good group, I did pretty well until I got surrounded by plumes and couldn't avoid being killed. Annoyingly others survived the fall but it seems that DRG armor is made of paper no matter how heavy it is. I then fluffed on bombs and froze when I saw I was heading to the wrong one, that cost me my life and my dignity *hangs head in shame.*

Is it to encourage people to stay in Duty Finder groups longer

Yeah. Was designed to give you a boost after a certain period, so at least if your group was getting close, that little extra would give you what you need to finish it.

Also, I forgot about the fact it takes abit to fill slots, but I find if you have even one person not performing well cause it's there first time, or whatever reason. Healers will quit and then it's just a race to see who can quit next really.

I had it happen to me about 5 times in a row the other day.
I'm a patient guy, so it doesn't bother me really. but I'd imagine if I wasen't so patient, I'd probably just left the game outta frustration. It seemed like a problem to me.

If its the fact that you can't fill those slots, then it's another problem all together anyway.

Looking at the random feature they're coming out with for duty content finder stuff, I see that fixing some problems.

Dying 3 times, waiting half an hour, then coming back stronger than ever..sounds like a Dragonball Z episode.

People just need to move when titan turns around. Had to do it unexpectedly as a 'dps' once, talk about overrated. If you really need a 10% stat boost to down this then you should wait until gear comes out that makes you 10% stronger. Or play 10% better and earn something many people already have before you.

I think the duty roulette will alleviate this problem, as with the Party search feature. I'm not saying this for me. It was something I noticed.I understand the mechanics of all the fights, so its rare I miss dodging something.Provided I'm not playing at a buddies house, someone's distracting me or walking past the screen. Plus I have the benefit of living near the server

Anyway, it was more or less a neat little idea I had, figured id just share with the group

Honestly though I'm leaning towards starting a friendly reminder to new/newish DD in titan and other fights and just telling everyone before we start. "your primary focus as DD should be not taking damage as much as possible, dishing it out comes second."

Cause I heal tank and DD and as healer you can tell right away which DD ain't dodging. My fallback in 1.0 was let em die, leave em dead. Its different now however, if you don't have the dps, chances are you wiping. Which isn't a bad thing, it makes every job important

you all are right, its more about just knowing your role, and the role of DD is avoid damage then deal damage in that order.

I think it really comes down to people just not knowing. We got ps3 users and fans of the series playing mmos for the first time. So IMO we should help them out and let them know.

We were all new once too!
