To whom it may concern,

Since you lack any common courtesy or mutual respect for anyone, i will tell you now. I am not a bot. I am, in fact, a crafter, it's what i like to do. Currently i am working on leveling my 5th craft. Anyone who is a crafter can atest to the amount of shards and other mats needed, so a lot of farming is needed, A LOT!

So when you see me out farming i would really, REALLY, appreciate it if you didn't report me as a bot. Because i have to go threw a lot of crap to get my account unlocked because you don't have the courtesy to just ask me.


If i am farming something that you need for a quest, just say so, i'll prolly help you, at least heal you anyway, it's what i usally do.

Also, as a side note, please no blind invites anymore, personaly i consider that very rude.

As a crafter in training that does a lot of gathering myself it is pretty disturbing if it is so.

twice actually. When i log in i get "your account has been temporaly suspended for suspicion of questionable activity". After i go threw all the "motions" of finding out why and how to get my account back i am/was told i was reported for botting and after further investigation they have concluded that i am, in fact, not a bot. However, it is there policy to temporally suspend and ivestigate all such claims (so i was told), and no, they will not let you know who reported you.

So,if somebody, for what ever reason really wants to mess with someone this what they can do to you. It is extremly frustrating and almost enuf to make a person want to just leave.

Oh yes, that is indeed a greatly disturbing matter.

I can understand why they won't tell you who reported you, but it is quite annoying.
I report plenty of characters, but before I do I do give people a chance to let me know that they are human (unless they are doing something obvious like node teleporting).

Haha I know what you mean, Im currently on Aldgoat Leather for LTW and I gotta kill a crap ton of goats out in Drybone to get the leather I need. Im pretty sure people look at me funny when I'm running around pulling 3+ goats and AoEing them down. If someone stops and seem to be looking at me funny, I ask them if they are on a quest and need the goats for quest credit and if they do I shoot em an invite and kill goats for them till they are done.

I get a feeling that you are being reported for boting only to discourage/ stop you from leveling up your craft skill and creating competition for them. That is an idea anyway.

This sort of thing aggravates me! When gather I put on tunes and turn off game sound. That means unless I happen to glance down at chat, it is unlikely I will know anyone is even talking.

While gathering, I have had people open trade with me, or try to add me as a friend, etc. I find out later it is because they thought I MIGHT be a bot - IF they even bother answering me. Some of these folks have their chat set to block all tells except from friends. In this case I have started reporting THEM for harassment!!! If you want to be my friend or trade with me, and don't want to talk to me, as far as I'm concerned, you are doing it to impede my enjoyment of the game and can go stick it where the sun don't shine!!!

So, if someone is trying to friend you or trade without messaging you, try doing a /tell. If they don't answer, be proactive and report THEM! The best offense is a strong defense... LOL

I'm currently going after the botany luminary achievement, so I'll sometimes be out and about farming the same thing for hours at a time. I've never received blind invites or accusatory tells, but sometimes people DO emote toward me. I'm pretty sure that's their way of checking if I'm a 'real' person, but I always emote back and I've never had issues. It's not fair that your account is suspended every time you get reported, but perhaps you could try emoting to people who are nearby or seem to be stalking you in order to get them to go away.

I've seen and reported genuine botters and they're still happily playing the game, unfortunately.

I'm always afraid that's going to happen to me lol. It tends to deter me from gathering for long periods of time, even though I know I sometimes have to.
