Even without 2.1 buffs, There are WAR's tanking turn 5. Come 2.1, WAR's will get +30% Mitigation from Vegeance, +30% Healing when Mantr is up, +40% when Convalence is up. +20% DR from Inner Beast. VIT is safer, but I dont think it will be a Must in 2.1.Full vit if youre going to MT is the only way to go, you can get away with 7 after all buff if youre offtank, but 2-4 snakes still hits hard as fk especially when u have 2 stacks of debuff. But there is like zero reason to not go all vit, if youre having DPS issues its not your fault.
If you die it is game over. So take that what you will.

Nothing is a must, but your job is staying alive and that is it whatever makes your healer life easier is what you should be doing. In fact the extra HP becomes even more valuable due to mitigation. 5% even a 10% increased DPS is not worth you accidentally dying cuz u get hit by 2 liquid chained with DS+plummet+auto.
Grpyphonskin rings are probably fine when u have 8k+. But going full str means you lose 500+ hp and I would never give that up for measly tiny increase in DPS in scope of things. Imagine all your hard work increasing your dps can be completely overshadow by an extra firestarter proc.

I love how this thread Derailed into a Twintania fight arguement... Thats not the only fight in the game!
I have had no issues tanking in 30 Strength points as a mostly iLvL 90 Warrior. (Missing Boots, and 3 accessories)
I have yet to try Tanking Turn 4, but my group never even fight Double Dreads, so that wouldn't be a problem for me to MT.
I do not MT Turn 5, nor do I want to yet. My Paladin can't do it either. 6.3K Buffed HP is not enough.
For everything else in the game though, my entire FC, and Friend list prefers that I tank as my Warrior, because I deal a far greater amount of Damage than a Vitality Paladin, and our runs go much faster. (WP Speed runs are about the same as with a Paladin)
I'm thinking I'll probably cap Myth and Philosophy with CT runs instead, just for new and refreshing content.
+ the Daily Roulette, and Hard Modes, 2.1 is going to be amazing.
Seeing that we will spam inner beast for most fights in 2.1, It's debateable on which will make healers life easier: With vit you have 500 more base Hp vs With STR Spec where you have 300-500 more self heal every 20secs with inner beast. This is not accounting Bloodbath and Stormpath..... Hmmmmmm.Nothing is a must, but your job is staying alive and that is it whatever makes your healer life easier is what you should be doing. In fact the extra HP becomes even more valuable due to mitigation. 5% even a 10% increased DPS is not worth you accidentally dying cuz u get hit by 2 liquid chained with DS+plummet+auto.

EDIT: To add, the DPS increase with full str and gryph is far from measly. Not when i can hit 600-900 BB combo's, 350+ tomahawks/overpowers, 600+ Steel Cyclone's and 1100+ Innerbeast.

Actuall your looking at more like 100-150 more from Inner Beast with Strength vs Vitality. If it was 500 more, then no one here would be argueing against it. =P
Prior to change my highest IB was 800ish with the norm being 600. Now my highest inner beast to date is almost 1300, with 800ish being the norm.
