Did the same thing for the same reason before they took the recipes away. Do you have any idea how hard it was to find sheep leather straps (taupe) for sale 8 months after the ingredients to make them were discontinued?

I bought out all the brown enamel on Ridill to make a set of Brown Dated Iron Plate. Used it as my dragoon armor before I finished that quest line. It's one of the main reason I still play that character. I recently put it on again when I told someone I could wear plate armor as a white mage. You can blame Papalymo for my wanting to make it, those yellow gauntlets of his... so want.

Hard to say.
I remember hearing before that event items won't be able to be used. Don't know how true that is, but I wouldn't be surprised. I'm not expecting much with the limitations already in place. :/

I've yet to decide. The easy answer is to go with the standard AF, which looks amazing in it's own right. I will probably do that for my WAR, since I utterly loath the tin-can and really like the look of the WAR AF.

For my WHM, SMN, and DRG, that's a bit harder. I've got a full collection of all the starter dungeon armor (Acolyte and Foestriker) and Brayflox dungeon armor (Battlemage, Infantry, and Cavalry), so I'm not wanting for awesome outfits.

For WHM, I'm probably gonna stick with my AF+1 chest, and change the look of the DL hands and feet to match the AF hands and feet. For SMN, I'll probably go full AF. For DRG, I'll probably go full Foestiker; that set looks so cool.

I want to go back to wearing my Alpine War Jacket. I loved it in 1.0 and wore it everywhere.

I also made a set of dated gear in all black that I liked the look of, so I'll probably have a slot for that.

Oh, and if we get the wench outfits that the 'ladies' in Limsa wear, I'll definitely be wearing that in towns!
