    Shortage of Roegadyn

I am unsure if this is the right place for this topic if it is please move it to the right place

Anyway I ben playing an Male Roegadyn for a few months. Then made it to a female. And to be honest I rarely see any Roegadyn male or female.

Is there a reason behind this? I aint judging people I understand all charachter modells in this game are extremly well done. (Best looking mmorpg on the market if you ask me)

But is there a special reason we see less Roegadyn?

I think it's just sadly a question of taste - people will inevitably prefer the more 'attractive'/cute races, hence why lalafaell and tarutaru are the most common/popular player races in FFXIV and FFXI respectively. Galka in FFXI (which roegadyn are heavily based on) suffered the same fate - forever doomed to be the least popular player race (as far as FFXI goes that info was based on past Vana'diel Censuses which use raw server statistics for data.). FFXIV I just arrived at that conclusion based on how many lalafells I see around.

Mind you, there are several roes in my linkshell/FC so yeah, just because you don't see a lot around doesn't mean no one plays as them.

I like m-Roes for the fact that you can actually see detail on the armors, and they make stuff look more badass. People complaining about Roes being big making gear ugly, that's only for gear that's already ugly becoming uglier. fem-Roes I put in as 'cool & tomboy cute'

Roes remind me of Hulk, not the brute savage original Hulk though, and thus portrayed as an intelligent and patient Hulk is kinda off to me personally. Imagine u play wow and create a toon orc and make it as savage as possible only to find out the orc ingame are gentle lol

I see a lot of male roegadyns. Female roegadyns on the other hand, maybe be common, just the they are kind the same height and build as a male highlanders. I confused few the two if I am not looking at them directly.

I see a lot more male Roegadyns than female. Then again I guess it's just a matter of taste - most Roegadyns I saw so far are mainly Paladins/Warriors and we know how rare those classes are in comparison to others. Then again, seeing an Arcanist Roegadyn or a Paladin Lalafell is always a fun sight

I think they revealed the race distribution, making Hyuran and Miqo'te the most popular race choice, followed by Lalafells, Elezen and finally Roegadyns.
Interestingly enough, Lalafells are much more popular than Elezen in JP where Elezen have much higher popularity in NA/EU region.

Personally I do not like playing very masculine characters in MMOs as well, it does not really fit my personality and taste.

I've been contemplating changing to a Roe for a little while now.
When I created my character I wanted to go for something that looked exactly like myself, so of course, everyone goes Midlander with that default hairstyle. Couldn't bring myself to play the default so went Highlander and made him as skinny as possible.
"Quiet refined healer" was something I considered. Now I'm thinking giant friendly oddly dressed beast-man.

Also camera angle of screenshots is terrible being giant... Dat angle.

Even among the NPCs, there aren't many Roegadyns.

He doesn't mind us conducting trials so close to his bazaar, so long as he's properly compensated... Yes, Portus, we pay him in sorcery-blasted bird flesh. - Cocobygo
