    Thanks so much lol. Each week I keep telling myself "This is going to be the Dragoon week for me!" only to be met with tons of BRD gear and a mixture of tanking + healing gear. BRD > TANK+HEALER > Casting > [Blank]. Pretty much in that order.

    Even if your statement was correct and most of the people who played a war, drg, or mnk were bad, that doesn't change the fact that even the good ones get out performed by the other classes in their category by a decent margin. My blm with 1 ilvl 90, 1 ilvl 80 and the rest ilvl 70 can get 20-30 more dps than my drg with 6 ilvl 90 items and do so with a lot more ease. I don't claim to be perfect at drg or blm, but 270 dps on drg and 290-300 on blm (on dummies) are by no means low numbers. The fact that my blm out damages my drg by that much with gear you can get in a few days compared to gear that has taken a few weeks to get means something needed to be fixed.

    A 10% increase to dps is exactly the same as a 10% damage increase. If you are doing 100 dps, you will do 10,000 damage in 100 seconds. If you do 110 dps, in 100 seconds you will do 11,000 damage. A 10% damage increase to 10,000 damage is 11,000.

    I think what people are missing here, is that the reason we melee get the damage increase is so that our total damage done after spending time away from melee range, is roughly on par with that of Ranged DPS>

    Titan and Garuda are horrible for me as a Monk. Every time i finally get my 3 stack GL and full rotation going .. he jumps/weights/landslide and buffs fall off while evading, and i need to start again. DRG's have the same issue, every jump restarts our entire rotation from the ground up.

    Compare the time taken as a Monk or DRG to achieve maximum DPS and the time taken for a BRD or BLM.
    THAT is what the boost is addressing.

    On Monk, you can keep stacks through the jumps, stay as close to the middle as you feel comfortable with (obviously you don't want him dropping on your head though) and start running to him as soon as he hits the ground and attack from the front for a few hits whilst running to attack position. BUT there is a slight extra delay in the heart one so you lose it there, but should be saving perfect balance for that one. At the end of heart you can -sometimes- keep it depending on how quickly the second gaol gets taken down (the slower the better, but this is dangerous.. for the person in the gaol anyway ). Of course, if you get gaoled then you are losing stacks unless your party is very very fast at getting you out, but if it's first gaol on heart no chance. Bombs/weights/landslides shouldn't require you losing stacks, although sometimes you have to take a few risks to keep them. Like fighting on his foot for the cross pattern bombs (the happy place bombs :P).

    If GL3 got 3-6 more seconds, it's quite likely you could your stacks for the whole fight (excluding bad luck on the first heart gaol), so I hope that is one of the changes (not sure if it's been confirmed though).

    But I have to say, even in near full ilvl90, and not losing GL3 except at start and end of heart, I can't seem to match the blms in my FC for overall damage in this fight... although in heart phase, by popping all cooldowns and oGCDs, I can often come close for that specific target.

    The buff to GL bringing it to 20 seconds pretty much eliminates it as an issue. Most times if i *just* hit a GL stack refresh before a jump, i can get back to him just in time to get halfway through the skill animation before i lose the Stance and it stops dead ._.
    That is possibly due to latency though.

    I must be the only lucky DRG here when it comes to coil loot
    last week I got my pants and ring of striking from T1 and this week I got my earrings of striking too
    although I did have my maiming already
    All I need now are the helm, ring of maiming and bracelet.
