[Dev. Team/Reps.] Steam OS/Steam Machine - Future realse?

I suppose this is aimed more for the good folks over at SE its self but maybe someone on the forums (or SE if their allowed to discuss it) could help me with this one.

So with FFXIV:ARR soon to be released on Steam does that mean at some point down the line they could be a port/build that runs on the Steam OS and/or it's "Steam Machine" console?

And if so would it support that funky new pad they've created?

I honestly don't think they have the resources to port to another OS that will have a very small userbase(at first)

Yeah I know at first it will be a small user base but as I said "at some point down the line" as in say a year or two's time if steam machine/platform does well.
I mean it would be a new market for them and certainly grab attention that a BIG developer/publisher like Square iis putting one of its major titles on there.
