About DF Tanks

So, I finished doing stuff on my WHM for a while and rolled an archer/bard. Let me just say that I feel sorry for DPS in DF. Most of the tanks I have dealt with bail as soon as something doesn't go their way, and then they get to pick right back up into another instance faster than we get a new tank. And when we do get a new tank, most of those leave if we're not at the last boss.

I think that I will level a tank. I think that you should be able to passively level alts through whatever role you are playing. I will play a nice tank who helps people, and in return, I get to level my alt jobs so I can enjoy content at higher levels without having to grind with these A-types.

End rant. Just ranting. That's all. If you are one of these tanks, you make me sad.

I am a tank, and well aware of the demand. I am also patient and unless the group just isn't going to happen, don't bail. That being said, you give tanks a bad name.

I've only bailed on 2 groups ever.... the first one everyone started throwing out personal insults to the rest of the party cause we died on garuda HM. I dont tolerate un needed drama so I left. The other was a group from my own server advertising a speed run for AP and needing a tank. I joined and saw 2 melee dps and a healer. Decided to give it a go anyway. 25 mins later we haven't even cleared ads on the way to first boss, cause healer was dpsing and the actual dps were..... well I don't rightly know what the hell they were doing, but very little died. So I left.

I main as a WHM, and started leveling a PLD because of the attitude tanks have(not all tanks, I have come across a few great tanks that weren't 'holier than thou') I left once from a DF and that was because the bard decided he wanted to tank because i was explaining to an FC member how to handle some mobs and he proceeded to tell me 'if she doesnt know the fights, let her ass wipe, she will learn'

even so after the panalty tank can get almsot instant DF queue. however waiting for tank replacement could take 20 min plus.

This is an MMO. The duty finder is a luxury item. You don't have to use it nor is it a necessity, You can form a premade and que with people you know and not take the risk of getting some impatient rude person.

When you pug, you always run the risk of getting some trash people, duty finder or not. If you can't handle it then don't que by yourself, find some friends.
