More or less copy+pasting the above users, since it is the same. We are 3 different people who just happened to be finishing up the quest leading up to this one. Huddled in one group, dumbfounded.

1. Completed Quests "Opportunity Knocks", "All By Ourselves" and "Factual Folklore"
2. Approach Cid with story marker "!" above his head
3. Clicking does not engage a conversation, only options are Emote and Mark
4. Unable to progress with Story
5. Filed in-game bug report and Ticket that gave me link to fourm to post this, on-going problem.
6. There were about 6 players needing this quest at about 1pm today and another group this evening 12am-1am NOW standing around waiting as well.
7. I have been trying to get this quest now for more than 28-30 hours.
8. When you click on Cid, all action bars just go dark for a short time and then nothing happens.
9. all other npcs in area you can chat too work!

Wait and see I suppose but I'd hoped they would be a bit quicker, or at least let us know if they've checked anything. Since most endgame relies on Story completion ...

I have the same problem with Cid, Just a different Quest "The Best intensions".. Met a few other people with a similar problem.

Just attempted again ( Day 3) to pick up this quest and still can't. With new content coming out very soon and most of it needing to have completed the Storyline, this is a real problem. Sure wish they would take the time to fix this or at least address it!
The few that have finished Tests and are out of school for holidays finially have a little time to play, this makes for a very bad experience in this game. Beware as soon we will all go play Elder Scrolls Online comming out soon.
