I have basically the same view. I'm usually glad when I get into a 0/3 group even if it's only like a 2 minute bonus. There was a time I used to try getting fast myth occasionally but I don't do that anymore because others really don't like it. If you don't have the time, you shouldn't be playing anyway is my opinion.

I found your first post funny because those people don't even need to join to find out how many bosses are completed. There's a yellow fraction number that tells you how many bosses are beaten and remaining. So there shouldn't be any problems with people literally joining an instance (like being inside WP with the group and tonberries and things) then leaving because the group isn't far enough in the dungeon for them.
