Did this so many times i cannot count anymore, but im still to get the chance for a new Lance. Today i helped my friend, a Gladiator. We do it 2 times, and wupti, he got himself a new weapon. Now i tryed to get a new lance for like 1-2 month, but hey, i havnt even seen a lance drop there, and i do Ifrit with eyes closed now! Sigh I fansy things bein "hard" to get, but this is a f.. joke! People whine bout my current itl 55 Lance in dungeons, yea yea, now i want to whine! Random my behind!

Its all chance, Yeah it sucks but that's how it is. There is no such thing as Random in computer science. Its a pre-made list of numbers scheduled to pay out after a win. You unfortunately keep landing just out side of this 'number'

2nd try I got my Ifrit Harpoon, 30+ tries for Garuda's. Just spent the last two weeks running only AK for my PLD chest drop (if there wasn't a limit on Myth I could have bought my AF2 chest and then some)..

You may have to bite the bullet and pay out for an Obelisk if you are concerned about time and getting your Relic.

Drops are like trophies, if they were easy then there wouldn't be anything special about them..

You're basically gambling for them. If you are going to complain about primal drops, good luck with Coil..

As i said, i just had to whine. But i did Ifrit 50+ times, and not even seen a single Harpoon drop! For me its a joke, a f... farce and i got other stuff to use my time for. But an Obelisk could be alternative solution, never thought of that. tnx

Skip ifrit and do Garuda. Your i55 weapon is fine for that fight. You might be more lucky there.

This. It took me 20+ Ifrit runs to get my Harpoon, while I saw the Garuda weapon drop twice (lost the roll the first time) in hardly 10 runs.

Apart from that, which is all at RNG will, you're just better off farming Garuda, she gives better tomes and pretty much all DF groups can handle her, in the Bowl of Embers you always have the risk of getting a party with no SMN/BLM that doesn't know how to deal with the nails, or noone stunning Eruptions etc.

Garuda is completely doable with a lvl 55 weapon.

The only problem would be Titan. I've ran a few DF groups for Titan HM that almost had all darklight weapons and it was never enough DPS to take down the heart in time (I've landed 2 where I was the only Primal weapon holder :/). Most server groups expect lvl 60+ unless they offer to carry you.
