I think it's a great suggestion for future implementation that caters to both hardcore and casual players. In any event I think that on a slightly longer timeline casual players would be able to get to 50 at some point anyhow and so would not be barred from getting the r.50 jobs either if that's what they wanted.

The argument against it could be that casual players want the lvl 50 jobs too without the time required to get to 50 but that's neither her nor there because the "I don't have the time to invest but still want x or y" is an eternal argument made against every idea ever proposed. You can't please everyone, and that's fine.

And as a small point a 1:1 ratio for classes to jobs is kind of limiting. Even if their system is only 2:1 and not the 4:1 you're suggesting either case is better than 1:1.

I'd honestly be against requiring level 50 for any full fledged Job unlocks, if for no other reason then because Jobs are a part of your character development, and shouldn't be held away from you for the entire journey to end game.

XI was the perfect example of this... it took 'forever' to get any of the classes beyond the base starting ones, so if you had one in particular that you just really liked and wanted to be, well, too bad for you.

R30 is a decent enough marker, however, R20 wouldn't be amiss either, as the sooner things of interest come into play, the better. Less chance of new players getting frustrated before they can be who they want to be and quitting, and you get to play with the Job elements for the larger portion of the game, rather then the lesser.

I honestly have no problem with some things unlocking at R50, such as special Job abilities or high powered aspects such as a Primal summoning(which likely won't exist, but you get the context), but don't lock out entire Jobs, they're (or they hopefully will be) a vast portion of many can enjoy about their character.

If you truly insist on withholding things till R50 for more 'hardcore' players, then still unlock all the primary Jobs earlier (R20/R30) and allow for Job 'promotions' at R50, similar to how the original FF did 'some' of their classes. White Mage -> White Wizard, Warrior -> Knight, Black Belt -> Master... that sort of thing. (Thief -> Ninja would be a 'very' bad idea however... too much difference between them).

That, however, would take more work on the Devs part, and perhaps an additional system, even though it, to me, would be even cooler to combine the traditional Job system with the original FF promotion system .

Essentially what I meant. Promotion jobs to the basic ones you unlock at 30.

Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.

Well I think it's the best choice to go with, IF they decide to introduce more than 1 job per class without making any jobs seem more important than others. It's probably a bit late for them to change it into this, but I'm hopeful that the job unlocks will be at 30 and then they'll add promotion jobs at 50, or sometime in the future if the level cap raises.

    and thank you :P
