Has there been any word as to when this event is going to happen. Last date I saw said 12/10/13 which kinda made sense due to the Lightening Event ending, but I have seen hide nor hair of it mentioned at all. I'm not even sure it's still happening.

It's still going to happen but last I heard was it was being spread out over January and maybe February. I hope it's soon cause I really want my Shantotto minion.

It is happening after 2.1, the FF XI event is happening first I believe.

SE really wanted to push out Christmas events for 2.1, however, internal testing has brought up some issues so SE have had to postpone Christmas until Q1 2014, SE thanks you for your patience and hopes you look forward to the Christmas event starting in February!

Here is the traditional calendar events for a typical MMO around this time. You have Xmas events coming up. And then you have a Valentines event in Feb so my best guess is as early as March.
