Well, let me put it like this then. Does it have a confirmed release date?

Release date is actually the part I'm waiting on right now but that is up to yoshi-P when he feels like announcing something about Musketeer.

besides I'm not saying Musketeer will be the next new class but it is currently the only class we know by name that will be released sometime in the future.

By current info and how the game basically has almost everything ready for Musketeer we can assume it won't take too long.

Yoshi-P did mention he has plans to release 1 new class or 2 new classes (if lucky) into the game before the release of the first expansion as part of a Major update.

After the events of Gaius. A cautious peace exists between Eorzea and the Garlean empire. But the Ascians are not content with this.

The empress of the Garlean empire begins talks with the nations of Eorzea to negotiate a treaty. But upon meeting the hulking Raubahn Aldynn, leader of the mighty Immortal Flames, the empress is immediately taken in by his charm and strength and they begin a secret afair. The empress affectionately bestows upon Raubahn a gift of diamonds, the very same diamonds once given to her as a gift from the Emperor.

The Ascians ever hiding in the shadows see this, and whisper into the Emperor's ear tales of infidelity. They advise the Emperor to hold a grand event in celebration of the treaty between Garlea and Eorzea upon the Empresses return, and to ask the Empress to wear the diamonds.

The Empress ever distraught, sends a messenger to ul'dah, but Raubahn has gone missing. Merlwyb, who has been overseeing her musketeer's ask her newest recruit to find Raubahn and retrieve the Diamonds in time for the Empress to wear them and preserve the peace between Eorzea and Garlea.

Along the way your musketeer recruit will meet three unlikely heroes. Poor Sow, a Roegadyn, a boisterous dandy who enjoys fashion; A'rami Sen, a Mi'qotte, who is a deeply devout minister of the twelve; and Athen Osu a stoic Hyur who is like a father figure to your young musketeer recruit.

Can these three musketeers help your young recruit retrieve the diamonds in time to avert dissaster?

That is THE ugliest NPC in the game.

I bet they're going to add it into the story that this NPC is the reason why Musketeer Guild didn't start recuiting adventurers early.
