    Question on Goldsmithing

I am 50 Goldsmithing, 50 Mining and 20 CUL, but the stuff I want to craft do not sell for much profit, is it even worth trying to keep trying?

Individually, they don't make much. 2.1 might change that with the changes in the mats requirements for 2-star. Though, it is definitely one of my richer crafting classes, along with Leatherworker.

The stuff you "want" to craft does not "sell" well.
Maybe you should craft the stuff which "sells" well, which your customers "want".

That's what I "want" to do, can't seem to find out what to "sell" and "want" to "sell" and what people "want".

Goldsmithing usually provides slow but steady income.

High level HQ jewelry usually sells well for 2500 gil or more and is in constant demand for spiritbonding. It will take a long time to make a million gil, but since you can gather your own materials from Miner, aside from the time investment it's pure profit for you.

You can also make your own jewelry, spiritbond while crafting or doing DoW/DoM content, and convert to materia for additional income.

GSM was my 1st lv50 (when my DoM was lv23) and my biggest money maker in the first 2 months and I have got its luminary tool. But I didn't even borther to touch it after that. Nowaday you can still under cut and make 2,3k per sell for lv48/49 jewelries but you need to be very active because of the competation.

This, make your own HQ jewelry and SB them will be a better idea to make gil.

HQ jewelry can be sold nicely already on low levels. You won't make a fortune per item but it is easy to HQ a Goldsmith craft item if you are well equipped.

Another slow but good income is the combination of miner and Goldsmith. Miner gathers gold ore from unspoiled nodes, Goldsmith crafts the gold-nugget from it. NQ sells for 1,5k and is really not a big hazzle to craft.

Also any job gear the Goldsmith can craft (1 Star items) sells for several thousands, also in NQ. You need some patience because there aren't dozens of players hitting 50 on their job anymore everyday but from my experiences, you can always sell them sooner or later.
