Pressing the Windows button on the keyboard in full screen mode crashes the game

this is so easily fixable by the end user, probably took more time to sign into the forums to complain than to fix the issue, autohotkey, or any other of the options available will fix it, autohotkey also allows for easy movement of the game around multiple monitors and a lot of other uses

Why are you assuming that the mod isn't aware of the threads on the first few pages? The mod made an organizational decision by moving this thread and I think that characterizes a familiarity with game issues.

Rowyne, thanks for your post. I need a few more rational posts in this thread to offset the fanatical SE fanboys in here. I feel like I'm fighting off a cult all of a sudden just because I made a bug report for my friend while he got disconnected from the game.

The point is that we shouldn't have to find workarounds. It should just work.

Please fix the DirectX issue! We should be able to alt+tab and window key while in full screen mode without fear of crashing the game.

Been thinking this since day one, and every time i brought it up with peeps in game i get flamed to death. Really don't understand why this games fan base feels SE/FF14 is beyond reproach.

Just because you're so awesome and can fix it derenkirby, does not mean anyone else knows how to. Especially someone who just started the game. As to you suggesting anyone is complaining about this issue - @#$# you good sir. IT'S A BUTTON THAT CRASHES THE GAME. If you want to get off to SE so bad, why don't you order some sex toys off the internet. Your hormonal urges are going to confuse any new players who come to this game. (poor choice of words?)

again like I said in my above post... it is an easy fix, look up sharpkeys in google, download it, and use it to disable the windows keys, it is a very easy proccess, and if you can not do that....well...sorry.

I'm not taking sides here but easy fix or not, what if I like using my windows key? this should even be an issue to begin with.
