SHARKNADO. that is all

SHARKNADO. that is all

Out of control?
Perhaps Inner Quiet will help...

It's pretty obvious that you don't like wordplay at all when you have the gall to raise such an insignificant complaint like this on the official forums.
I like them. I've went through my achievements before just so I can giggle at all of the references.
It's actually a pretty valid argument. People just can't seem to grasp that I'm arguing quality over quantity and not against puns in general.
For every clever pun that someone posts in here, there's an equally bad and nauseating one. For example, how about "Mud About You" in Mor Dhona. It grammatically doesn't even make sense. Wtf does killing mud puppies have to do with Paul Reiser anyway? Is it funny? No. Is it clever? No. It's just bad.

You heard the OP folks, no fun allowed. Move along, nothing to see here.

You have to realize that even the bad puns can provoke a thought along the lines of "That is just stupid", where as any normal quest name wouldn't even register in most peoples minds. It's actually a pretty valid argument. It's all about creating a lasting impression! In marketing, they always aim for staying away from normal for this exact reason. Whether an advertisement is good or bad doesn't matter as long as it registers the viewer to think about what they just saw. I sure as hell can't think of a single quest name from any previous MMO (Aside from a few that involved sexual innuendo's), but I still recall the stupid pun games all the players would play in chat...(WHY?!?).
Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.

This is really a scraping the bottom of the barrel argument here. May I ask exactly what is the big deal with it? It isn't used in dialogue and developer's fun way of localizing quest names. You can not like it if you want, but it is harming no one and doesn't affect the game as a whole no matter how much you want people to believe that is the case. A person looks at it, gets a one second giggle, then moves on.It's actually a pretty valid argument.
