Yes another CT thread but i have a serious question

All the perfect arguments were said. If there's someone here narrow minded, it's you, OP. We all do not share the same goals and aspirations as you, and you have to understand this. We welcome CT because it's going to add to diversity. We play a game for fun. If you feel so entitled to be the best geared guy of the game, this is not our business. You have your playstyle, your goals and your opinions, that's fine, but you're asking us to agree to your unestablished argument of: "CT gear sucks, period."

It's not supbar gear, as a lot of us will have some use of it for a while. it's not like 100% of the playerbase are running around in Allagan gear.

Ugh I never once said CT gear sucks, I never said I wanted to be the best geared, the thread is about how a loot lock out on the second best gear is trash, I'm not narrow minded I have common sense, why even bother with something if you have a higher chance of getting something better? My point is the loot lock out system is trash, not CT I think CT is friggin awesome, I think it's good they gave us content, I think it's just plain trash they have a lock out system on it. I'm sorry my English is not very well but I'm certain I am getting my point across. You have a higher chance to obtain coil and myth gear then CT, this will cause it to fail in the end. If they removed it I am more than certain farming CT and getting a full set of that would take a month minimum and then with coil your looking at 3-? Who know how many months to finish, the argument is the developed good content with a piss poor lock out.

OK so I have a example, out of all the people who posted, since lvl 1 and all the instances, I expect every single one of you farmed every level of gear thru the whole game and have Full sets for it correct?

Why? Because you knew that there was dl to get once u turned 50 and then coil why waste time farming every one? So my pointstands even firmer, why would u bother farming one inctinstance once a week for gear you don't need? Remote lockouts and it becomes needed. And please don't tell me you need it. Needing somethingis saying iit's impossible to do coil in dl so it's not needed it's just nice to have.

Sorry after seeing CT gear and how it looks i'm running it for vanity who cares if im full i90.
You people have to realize CT was suppose to be out in 2.0. SE is playing the catch up game with content and try to cater to many different kind of players. Get it for vanity or go do something else like extreme primals. Why don't you just run it because its a fun dungeon? o.O its 24 man its different that alone is enough reason for me to go and enjoy myself in it whether I am in AK gear or full i90.

P.S: The loot lock-out is because CT will be like coil in the same set up with multiple floors. Lock outs are common to keep people from progressing way to much at once.

This statement is flat out wrong, sorry. You can repeat CT as many times as you like per week until you get an item you want. So the effective chance of getting something is 100% every week. Unless you don't work for it, then your chance gets reduced.

Coil does not offer such great odds, and With Myth cap at 450 tomes you'll only be able to get one accessory per week.

so why waste the time on CT?

Because you have the progression wrong. The design was this:

1. DL gear -> Coil 2.0 -> Coil 2.2 -> Coil 2.4
2. WP/AK gear -> CT 2.1 -> CT 2.3 -> etc

You're mixing in two different progression paths (which is absolutely fine, too), starting off with the wrong assumption, so CT looks like a waste.

We have 8 level 50s in my FC now and we haven't even done WP or AK or the HM Primals yet, since the first six of us were waiting for the two healers to hit 50 (which just happened this weekend). So, it will be nice for us to pick up the CT gear before we run Coil. The more 8 man dungeons, the better, IMO. It's fun running dungeons with your FC, even if you've ran them before. Maybe it helps that my FC is a group of people I know IRL, though.

So, farming CT every night all night for one piece of gear how does that make you less hardcore then the guys logging in monday clearing 1-5 then logging out for the week.

How is logging in once a week for a few hours hardcore? That sounds entirely casual. I can't see myself paying a subscription fee for a game I log into only once a week, which leaves me wondering if it's even worth continuing my goal to level everything to 50. I mean, if they at least gave us decent pvp instead of lolarena I might feel justified continuing to pay the monthly fee. Here's hoping that housing is at least somewhat engaging.
