Yes another CT thread but i have a serious question

Ok so , flame me i don't care ill read through the rift raft to find the answers i seek.

progression goes like this

DL gear
CT gear
Coil gear

SO that being said you can do coil in full DL
so why waste the time on CT? you can have full DL and be running coil in a week or two?
am i the only losing faith in this game? i want to love it so much, and its not the lock out that's killing it, its the management. seriously who ever said this would be a good idea is a failed leader and couldn't design a pop up book correctly. now if you made it impossible to do Coil in DL then YES CT and lock out would make sense. All they managed to do is create content that once the hype is over no one will do?

it's not like you drop full allagan in a week or two. In the meanwhile, you drop a middle tier gear to make things easier. Trust me-from 4° turn onward you need it.

i understand you wont get full Coil in a week, but why would i waste my time on CT when im busy running coil for higher ilvl gear? yes you can supplement your coil gear with CT gear and look a hot mess but it isnt NEEDED, it should be NEEDED, and yes i understand you have a better chance getting 80+ ilvl gear with two chances ( coil and CT) of rolling on gear but why waste time? im not a hardcore player i just yesterday got my relic and as i plan out my to do list for end game spending a night playing CT when i can be doing coil has alot more incentive.

Due to lockouts and gear requirements you realistically can only run coil for a few hours each week. You can't possible run coil all week. So once you've gone as far as you can go you have plenty of time to run CT.

yah but with the RNG would your chances of gears up faster running coil and using myth tomes alot faster than CT? you can only run CT till you get a drop then what? nothing lol why spend hours grinding long content when WP is right there? ( for myth tomes)

Even with the soon myth cap raised, you only get a piece of af in 2 weeks. In these 2 weeks, you'll already have 2 CT pieces. Go figure.

yukikaze_yanagi said it best. Even with the myth cap raised it won't increase the rate I can buy decent upgrades very quickly. It still takes weeks. For example it took me three weeks to get my +1. That's three CT items I could have gotten in the meantime as the coil gave me nothing at all. That is still a net increase. Even people in the coil have a use for this gear. Only the rare few of us actually decked out in full iLv90 have no use for it.

why would u want ilvl 80 gear vs 90? and also me mismatched ( looks wise) when your trying to progress thru coil? its been done with mismatched ilvl70-ivl90?

if you can get ilvl90 gear in or about the same amount of game time maybe just a little bit longer ( maybe one week) why would you spend time on something that does not benefit you as much as running wp and doing your coils,

Those of us running all content will have better gear quicker until those upgrades actually come. Why is this so hard to comprehend? It's as if your primary goal is to just hate hate hate on the new content. Despite the fact many people will gear up quicker due to it. "Omg why get a iLvl 80 piece when I might get a ilv90 next week?" Well for 1 week you were better geared than if you had waited. As far as mismatched looks. Welcome to MMOs. You get a piece and you use it till you get an upgrade. One day you hope all pieces match once you get the best gear. This is how things work. If this is a problem for you then you may be playing the wrong genre. Lastly, you're getting myth for doing the CT. That means it can completely replace some WP runs for your week. It's not like you have to choose WP runs or CT. You can do both and work on myth regardless of which content you choose.

Why do WP when you can do <4 min garuda farms for myth?

Coil Turns 1-3 Are about an IL65 minimum, I'd say.
Coil Turn 4 is about an IL70 minimum.
Coil Turn 5 probably is an IL75-80 minimum (who expects to beat Twintania with just DL?)

For those who are Clearing Twintania, the only purpose of Crystal Tower gear would either be for ALTERNATE CLASSES or for VANITY SYSTEM released in 2.2. However the fact remains that less than 5% of the population of the game (30,000) are clearing Twintania. The fact remains that probably less than 10% of the subscription of the game (60,000) are actually even doing Coil on a weekly basis.

So you ask why to run CT? With the Myth Cap increased, CT is dropping Philo and Myth. When 2.2/2.3 comes out with the 3rd Tome, it will probably also have the 3rd Tome added to it. What you hear on the forums (and you yourself are) is the Vocal Minority. Also, you can keep running CT each week until the 1 item you want for that week drops and you obtain it (so long as you aren't Greed-Spamming/Not-Rolling and obtain something else).

so with the myth cap increased i can get my ilvl 90 gear (myth) that much faster right? by not doing ct and speed running WP? and with the CT lock out, once u do it your done for the week there is no re running of anything.
my point being is that CT has no purpose for a lock out period if your increasing the Myth cap that allows you with coil drops to gear your Char pretty quick for turns 4-5. so why waste time on long content for gear you most likely wont need and only be able to do it once?

475 myth tomes a week that's one piece every two weeks, that's ( if your lucky) 2 coil drops a in the same time period leaving you with 6 pieces in a month of ilvl 90 gear. SO why would i want 4 pieces of ilvl80 gear?
