DPS Output, Seeing where I stand.

In terms of what T5? Granted bard is the lowest dps class I still pull out at lowest 250 dps in T5, just remember though bard is more for boosting others than themselves, such as army's for a monk or foe for the mages which the loss of our dps is compensated and with 2.1 will be way overcompensated for the boost we give others. Still not happy about bards being "nerfed" for no reason what so ever, perhaps SE will learn from this mistake and 2.2 will have a bard "boost."

Been parsing different jobs with varying gear levels for a while now.

Regarding bard, I averaged around 160-180 with Mog bow and AK gear.

When I upgraded to Relic and darklight I average around 220-230.

These are on sustained fights, target dummies, and without the use of damage penalty songs.

I know I agree but at the same time, I have a bard in FC Stumpas Stumpas who with less gear then myself... he just wrecks the dps charts. Around 270+(I think) without buffs but I beat him come with buffs so it's really confusing for me atm. Though I might have his dps wrong I just know he's far better raid wise then myself.

Okay so am doing okay, Without Buffs I do around 220-230 area (Some allagan (Boots, Earring and Myth hat and Gloes.) but with buffs I do around 430 area when they are up. Though without buffs I feel like am still under preforming comparing to full DL.

I myself only played about 15 mins of 1.0 cause I just couldn't enjoy the game Just felt... really unlikable. If I recall that was the only time Coil wasn't around but was around during Early Access and even some Beta (legacy Servers that is but I think that's wrong in terms of the beta part)
Bards 100% Uptime + song Utility (Foe Req and Ballad) with a Silence that has no diminishing returns (I think) I can see why they are a bit over powered I just feel my damage is lacking compared to what I should be doing is all.

When Bard DPS is #1? Every place except Coil. Coupled with the fact that they don't have to stop moving allowing them to circumvent pretty much all mechanics while losing little to no DPS. THAT is why they are being nerfed.

bards dps number 1. . . not sure how that can be taken. I mean in coil I get way out dpsed by our monk which I should.In other instances such as titan get out dpsed by a smart and skilled drg. With foe requiem which I should play for mages get out dpsed by them. I mean I see no reason to nerf bard when we are the lowest DoW class. If anything SE should consider buffing mages since at moments bards can out dps them. So anyway sure low end content, mages get interrupted because server lag makes them have to move and cast times too long, so what happens when mages cast time is so low moving after almost a second into the cast does not stop the cast from going off, are we going to nerf them then? I did not choose the bard life, the coil group kind of steered me in that direction, in 1.0 I played monk which no1 else did and rather enjoyed it, but right now I made bard my own and right now, in end game, not early content, bard is as I said the lowest DoW dps and again if I play foe I will lose to a summoner, who like 30% of his dps comes from his garuda. Small content before coil really does not count as any clear and cut convincing evidence that bard needs a nerf. Casuals that cannot out dps a bard before the current end game coil and cry for a bard nerf are just bad and compare apples to oranges and just does not add up, is really what I am getting at.

What do you mean what? All I am saying is honestly idc much about them "touching bard" but more about the future. If they cater too much and nerf classes based off of casuals who are not top end game players their game is going to flop because all that will happen is nerf classes based off of casual progression, most of which do not touch coil and not know their classes potential. Them touching bard just shows that SE has no intention to listen to what end game players really have to say about each class and the future down the line in terms of newer end game content. The point I am trying to say is xyz job maybe the best burst damage/dps now but keep messing with it in terms of nerfs and in the future you will have what you did not want a full support class. Yoshi said they did not want bard to pull as a supportive role as it did in 1.0, but from the so called "adjustments" even though we do not know what they are yet, it certainly seems to be going back to the fail 1.0 support role. Speaking of which why call bard a dps because obviously now it will more than likely not fill that role anymore and should be considered support and therefor have its own duty finder role.
