I'm unsure of the details but I think it works on a population based system? Also SE has been frequently changing monster locations and spawn rates with the updates so it's kind of hard to tell.So... I've been trying to figure out forever how the respawn of monsters is determined.
In XI it was 16 minutes~? Depending on the zone you were in too.
But in XIV... I just don't even know. If you've ever tried farming an item from a monster that has only a few spawns you'll notice that it you can kill it and get a respawn 20 seconds later or not get a respawn for like 30 minutes!
Do they work like the roaming NMs work? A set spawn time of the game day that they can spawn multiple times in or something?
Does anyone have any research done on this?
