    Strength, Dex, Vitality (this is usually higher than the rest), Mind, and Int all have the same stat cap. Usually, these stats are already capped on HQ version of gear ( I assume all of them because I haven't seen a HQ version that wasn't already capped with these stats).

    Det and Piety cap at the same stat. These stats cap at a lower value than the stats mentioned above.


    Accuracy, Critical Hit, Skill Speed, Spell Speed, and Parry all have the same stat cap. Most of the HQ gear will have one of these stats already at cap. I've only seen a few gear where the HQ version wasn't fully capped on one of these stats. These are the stats you normally by materia for.

    I like this idea! Just add a "View Materia Caps" or something along those lines option.

    Surely that would appeal to people interested in melding materia without being burdensome to those uninterested. This would address SE's logic that displaying materia caps by default would present superfluous information to people who may be uninterested in knowing the materia caps.

    Thank you Camate for the reply.

    I'm having trouble understanding why a feature (materia melding) would be created into the game, and when the game community asks for more information regarding this feature of the game we are met with a "we do not have any plans of adding this information" response. All we are asking is that the stat caps for equipment be displayed somewhere. The caps exist, it would just be helpful to know them BEFORE attempting to meld materia to a piece of equipment. Surely the great minds over at SE can think up a good place to put this information, but dont keep us in the dark. Knowing materia melding caps can help players set specific equipment goals.

    Can SE reconsider providing IN-GAME information regarding equipment stat caps?

    Materia increases the speed an item spiritbinds.

    People will spiritbind cheap materia that don't offer a stat increase specifically for this purpose because the tier of materia doesn't matter.

    If you notice it says, Stat increase of +0, Don't Meld the materia. Pretty simple really. If you are so inclined, make a thread on forum of your findings.

    It will be beneficial to the community, and if they Devs see the community taking time to formulate said list, they may be inclined to add it to the Libra.

    I agree with what your saying, if these odd caps are to stay in play, an easier way to see what cap is would be nice. Along with that inventory management needs some love, they need to make it so when you it shows you how many of item you have it displays like total ((amt on person/amt on retainer)....its increasingly hard to track so many items.

    Please re-read my posts. The issue I have been describing is the inconvenience of not knowing equipment stat cap prior to attempting a meld.

    The game should provided information regarding an item's stat caps, in some manner, prior to actually attempting to meld materia to the equipment.
