    Graphics options.

Why does the benchmark give 4x as many graphic options to adjust than the actual live game?

Before I bought the game I ran the benchmark and was able to adjust a lot of settings to get it to both perform well and look great with a score of around 5500.

Not only are there fewer options in the live game, theres fewer screen resolutions.

Why is this so? its kind of mis-leading.

I thought there were the same amount of options in game as the benchmark. Have you checked both sections for the different options?

Can you post a screenshot? I'm not seeing any differences between the two.

The Benchmark (maybe they've changed it) prior to the live release of the game had at least 3x as many options that are available in the graphics option menu in game.

You could disable god rays for example, which isn't an option in the live game.

There were more options for screen resolution (such as 1280x600 - widescreen border)

Using the FFXIV: ARR benchmarks, exploration and character creation, the options are all the same. There are two tabs, display config and graphics config. Both are in system configuration when you hit the escape key. If you are using a benchmark other than the two titled Exploration or Character Creation, you may be using the v1.0 benchmark which is a whole different game so to speak.

In regards to resolution, the options for standard 4:3 or widescreen 16:10 or 16:9 should still be in there. The only difference is it doesn't state specifically what format they are in. You can also further customize the resolution by manually entering in a resolution as well.

I have both versions of 2.0's benchmarks installed on my computer, with no changes to their files for months and neither of them has an option to 'disable god rays.' Also, every setting available in the benchmark is available in the game, and vice versa. Are you sure you're using a 2.0 benchmark?
