    Why is Syrcus Tower so...primitive looking?

    One would think that the Emperor of the Allagan Empire would have the latest in Allagan advancements in his own dwelling, right?

    Why is ST not more "futuristic" looking like Dalamud's fragments (coil)?
    Where are the ADS's and lasers to intercept intruders?

    The tower seems to be more of a place for royalty to gather, which also doubled as an energy source. The real question should be why none of the Allagan gear from the coils appear in the tower.

    They do just not for us...The clones are sporting them but I guess looting a corpse in ST seems like a minor thing? ¬_¬

    Because everyone would be farming ST to get their HA gears?

    My personal take on the lore is that Crystal Tower is the tomb for an emperor while the Coils are more like a spaceship / military-research facility kind of thing. So it's more about aesthetics vs practicality.

    The Crystal Tower might have been built before Dalamud was. And, as said in the post before me, it's a place for royalty. Palaces are more about being aesthetically pleasing than anything else. Xande was the first Allagan emperor before he was the last, so he may prefer the more primitive Allagan architecture.
