The OP should not have any reason to make an alt given the function of the armory system. I don't think ignorance is the proper term here since you clearly know what I'm saying haha.
hahaha thats a good one, theres plenty of animosity in game and you should be very afraid of using DF lol this community is toxic, in game and out. Your best bet will be to join a FC with like minded people. Dont let people delude you in to thinking this community is anything less than toxic. Also i see people complaining about stuff in parties during fates and even just in /shouts all the time. These very vocal people may not be as minority as you think. There is your problem. Don't get stressed out from these forums. Ironically, this place has the most hate for this game and they are the VERY vocal VERY minor part of the community as a whole. Just by reading these forums you would think this game is already dead. You see none of the animosity that is plastered across these boards in game or on other forums.
Don't think you've gotten the memo in these forums yo, there's no such thing as just having fun, if you're not efficient and burning yourself out and start complaining, you're playing the game wrong.
Another person to help prove my point!I, for one, have yet to experience a single negative DF group. Everyone has been rather rosey except for one guy who was frustrated with a tank and gave him some POINTERS. Also, my experience isn't everyone's experience and there are a small bad bunch but the reason you don't hear about all the good people or the good things people do is because it is the NORM and the MAJORITY so it is so common place that there is no reason to talk about it.
So go on with your life, deluding yourself into thinking everyone is a bad person and this community is toxic (while being a toxic member yourself) but we all know this isn't the case and people like you are the VAST minority.

As a DD, whenever I have to step into the DF without someone in my FC or LS, I start to feel as you do. I start to feel the anxiety rise. My get to feeling tense, my stomach and intestines go into knots, I start to feel sick. Why? Because I dread encountering a group where I'm going to get berated for not performing perfectly on the first try. So far most of my groups have been decent but I have had a few groups that were unexpectedly terrible.Fun : noun : 1. enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure.
I'm a "casual" that's been playing as a tank class since v1 beta. I had a few jobs to 50 but decided to start a new character when ARR was released; I rolled a WAR as I loved tanking in FFXI and in XIV v1.
Now I read and have always read the forums religiously since they were opened and at this point.. at level 48 I'm afraid to progress in this game.
I hear nothing but horror stories of unruly elitism. I get stressed out and anxious about opening the DF window. I actually shake a little in anticipation of being abused and "yelled" at if I'm starting a dungeon that I've never ran before. This isn't even End Game.. I fear even trying Aurum Vale.
I've started a new job; Monk in hopes that with less responsibility in the party the less chance I'll be yelled at. I already miss being the one to take all the damage though.
So is this game fun? I bet it could be if people would let it.
My first run in Titan story mode, my first time through Stone Vigil, my first time in Garuda normal mode all resulted in name-calling (usually by the tank that was responsible for the wiping in the first place). My latest experience has soured me a bit that I haven't stepped back into DF. I was falsely accused of using LB before phase 2 and for not getting behind the rocks (though I did, just not the correct side of the rocks at times ;_. I don't want to go back and finish Garuda normal mode.

I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
As any sane person does...
So was I. I had one healer constantly yelling at me for some reason, calling me bad and such, one week later I discovered that you can run though Garuda to avoid Slipstream.... I used to think it was a aimed attack and that moving meant I'd get other people hit.As a DD, whenever I have to step into the DF without someone in my FC or LS, I start to feel as you do. Today I laugh it off... after a while you stop caring. You'll miss more good experiences than bad if you don't try.

nice, you fully admit to your experience being your own and not everyones, and ignore the fact that numerous people have very bad experiences every day. then continue to insult me with out knowing me. Youll fit right in around hereyou dont know what i do in game so maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself mr rosey ^^. I actually go out of my way to help people in my community every day. Just cause im recounting what I have seen with my own eyes doesnt make me a bad person.

Other than the fact that you can't possibly store everything you need unless all your jobs are the same exact level and store crafting ingredients at the same time? Lets see you store all the gear for 3 mage jobs. level 10, 30 and 45. 2 tank jobs level 30 and 50, 3 DPS jobs level 15, 38 an 50. 2 gathering jobs level 20 and 40, every crafting job ranged level 10 to 50 but none of them the same level. Now lets see you store all your holiday gear (and CE and preorder items) now add in fishing equipment and lets say.. cooking ingredients and alchemy ingredients.. Where exactly are you storing all this?
I, personally, have to use 3 characters just to store things i need from several crafting jobs. If you can do it on one character, more power to you ;P
