No ranks because FF is for casuals. We have to give everyone rewards for participating, not winning. We don't want to exclude anyone and hurt their precious feelers. Everybody is special.

I would assume it work like typical pvp. You make a team and play ranked battles. Your team scores points for wins and maybe gets modified depending on rank vs rank standings.

Of course there will be skirmishes you can do that's not ranked, but having ranked tournaments would be fun to see. With different brackets depending on your ranking.

Wolves den will have a Ranking System ( up to Rank 30 for now)

Yoshida: In patch 2.1, your PvP rank (the number which indicates your PvP prowess) will be able to be raised to a maximum of 30. Both your winning percentage and your playtime will be taken into account when calculating your rank ups. We will see how long it takes people to rank up when we consider subsequent additions.
