The reason that I love the new Warrior changes!

Because honestly, people just don't get a tank without mitigation cooldowns. I had a healer in Ifrit tell me yesterday that I needed to save all of my defensive cool downs for after inferno (I died twice due to lack of heals for several seconds when I was at 1-2K HP). Sure, I have some moves to heal myself a little during those moments, but most of those are on long cool downs (thrill of battle) and using inner beast is actually a bad idea a lot of the time because it cancels the +20% healing buff.

With this new patch, Thrill of battle lasts longer, vengeance is an actual mitigation CD now and Inner beast can be used every time it's up for both a small self heal and a 6 second mitigation buff thanks to the +20% healing buff being attached to defiance instead of wrath. So, not only do I still get some self heals, but healers won't be wondering why my HP goes from 6K to 1K so fast constantly.

Also, we're still more complicated to play than Paladins because we'll have to juggle 3 separate combos (Butcher's Block for threat, Storms path for a 10% damage debuff and Storms eye for slashing resistance debuff). So, it's not like Warriors are easy mode all of a sudden.

Hmm the healer in your ifrit story sounds pretty bad. If I have good healers, I'll IB just to dd some, wrath can be gotten back fairly quickly... I'm sad that their reducing the IB self heal, no more warrior soloing bosses

It should end up being better because we get a 20% Damage reduction after we use it. And thanks to the healing bonus change, we can actually use it every time it's up without any repercussions. I normally only use it now as a panic button or when infuriate is up so I can get the healing buff right back.

Vengeance plus Infuriate will now give us a 50% damage reduction for 6 seconds to use during things like mountain buster.
