I find that the only good way to counter this is by not acting like the people you talk about. Complaining about complainers doesn't really help the situation.

Well, better than asking for nothing, rite?i think even the biggest "troll" made a lot of good and plenty suggestions. But the lack of answers doenst really encourage someone to add even more input... does it? its their job in the end and looking at their community interaction, 80-90% of all suggestions are not even discussed... So why bother? The players want to be entertained... And they pay for it...
They (the players) already "worked" much more then what should be needed to make a successeful mmo.
We can't ask them to tell us if our ideas are garbage. They just have to not post in similar threads where Yoshi-P doesn't like the suggestion. If he likes it, Devs will post in that thread.
We can't decide what Yoshi-P wants to take as a good suggestion. We are no one to decide that. We can just fortify our suggestion.

I don't care if you hate the complaining, honestly. I quit playing FFXIV about a month ago and wasn't playing that much of it anyway. 1.18 is the last straw for me not only to never look at the game again (maybe PS3 launch idk) but to stop looking at the news, browsing the forums, and everything that involves the game. I played FFXI so much I feel that maybe this game will be as good as it one day, but if 1.18 fails, I just won't care anymore.
Thats another thing too, Im not on the band wagon of this game being FFXI...I want it to be different.
looking at the dev tags we can only suggest what they want us to suggest... and looking at what people wanted about how quest shoudl look like and they turned out to be one of the worst quests possible in all aspects with not a single new or good idea in it (and i read so many GREAT suggestions about quests, which would be perfeclty doable without much hasstle)... well that showed how "much" they really read. That's my major complaint about them. And i don't really think Yoshi actually is reading the posts... he has other things to do.Well, better than asking for nothing, rite?

When will the apologists realize that the game is free as a response to the game being crap, not a justification for the game's crappy quality? Big. Freaking. Difference.
If you want a free to play game, go play Maple Story. This is not a free to play game. We do not have free to play standards here. This game's quality cannot be justified by saying the game is free.
If I am mistaken and this is a free to play caliber game, then I'll just be on my way with every other relevant Final Fantasy fan.
You all keep trying to justify the game's continued underperformance by saying it's free. If you're right, then the game has BECOME its subscription fee and that was not the goal.

He isn't. The dev team is telling him the best ideas they find, then it seems that weekly they tell Yoshi-P what they've found, most-requested or good ideas.looking at the dev tags we can only suggest what they want us to suggest... and looking at what people wanted about how quest shoudl look like and they turned out to be one of the worst quests possible in all aspects with not a single new or good idea in it (and i read so many GREAT suggestions about quests, which would be perfeclty doable without much hasstle)... well that showed how "much" they really read. On a side note, the moment people become indifferent about the game is when you should really worry. At least people care enough to complain.
Obviously not saying its a justification, Im just saying the game doesnt deserve this degree of flaming when you get to play it for free. When will the apologists realize that the game is free as a response to the game being crap, not a justification for the game's crappy quality?
