I also made a point about gameplay. Turning everyone into animals with boosted stats is gonna be hard to balance with the already established combat changes.

In addition, turning into animals was never a heavy theme of Final Fantasy and would probably fit better in an original IP.

I agree. It's going to be hard justifying the implementation of a system like this.

This is a great idea, not only does it open a doorway for MANY new ideas, but it would add an awesome twist to how the game is played. Though, you can name it something different, you can tweak it a bit, and you can haul it to only work in certain situations, this would turn out to be something of note that can change the game in many cool ways.

Find one point you don't agree with and say it's not valid in your opinion, ignore everything else that was said, and say it's still plausible is not the way to debate. Unless you're Kilta.

Sounds like a bad rip off idea from a game called "Bloody Roar" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloody_Roar_(video_game).

I agree we need some decent ideas put out there but this is not one of them, the system would not work with this game. I would prefer they put time into fixing and enhancing things already in the game and their current plans.

    Cool.

    1) I never meant "animals running around the game"

    2) I never said this has to be implemented ASAP. So many people throughout several threads keep telling people about "short term goals" when the OP was talking about "long term goals". You think just because SE hears an idea they HAVE to utilize ONLY their short term memory?

DEV: "Hey umm Yoshi... I read this post about a good idea, but there's no way I will ever remember it within the next two months. Guess I'll just go back to working on the stuff scheduled for the next hour and not even contemplate next months ideas.

Yoshi: "Okay. I see what you mean. How could anyone expect us to think long term here? All we care about ever is what happens tomorrow. Silly players;;"

    3) The system could be utilized for "transformations" which make the player briefly LOOK cooler and at the same time CHANGE the combat flow. This is called diversity. THAT is what my suggestion was about. NOT "Hey guyz, everyone needz turn into a cow man, it real cool, ok?"

All of this is more for the Devs anyway.

I'm glad everyone has there opinions. Arguments and debate never hurt anyone It is all a part of the growth process.

This MMO is already unique in a few ways.

FFXI ALSO had elements that were unique to the FF series. IT made the game more enjoyable and attracted OTHER players than JUST the diehard FF fans.

I dont think that everyone should be able to do this. However I have always thought that perhaps it could become a class like summoner, and instead of summoning the creature next to you. You would summon the creature inside yourself. That way you dont have people left right and center turning into different things

(Sweet someone other than the same 3 people/lynch mob posted! Good to see someone has some ideas other than shooting it down without a single care.)

Ahh. Very good point. Yes maybe the system would work for a Class type. Therefore the jobs underneath that class could utilize the same mechanics.

(A bit off topic, but: I secretly hope that Classes have multi jobs underneath them. Like the FF Tactics system.)

I would like to first start by saying that even though this is my first post, I am a well seasoned Final Fantasy player. I have been playing FFXIV since the BETA, FFXI since the NA release, and virtually every FF game released in NA. Needless to say I am not a Nuub.
I tend to agree with the majority in that this feature would not be a good fit for FFXIV in its original envision. It sounds much like the system in FFXIII and I didn’t care for it in that game either. However, I do like some of the concepts. The idea that every “job”/”class” could have this ability does not fit well with SE’s role based parties. I do like the idea of transforming into the entity vs. controlling one, or casting a single ability. I think it would be an innovative way to portray the Summoner job. Even though the mention of a Summoner type job has been rather minute thus far, it is safe to say that SE will eventually implement something to that effect.
