She made her point based on the storyline.

I didn't disagree with everything she said. I appreciate all input.

...and I wasn't "shutting it down". This is called debate. We are discussing a topic. It is something that educated people do a lot. It is also a common education tool used in Colleges.

The main point here is to DEVELOPE the idea into something fruitful.

If everyone stops at the first "Nope that won't work". Then where would we be?
