Perhaps i should clarify what i ment by "jumping the gun", seems ive confused some people. i usually open anything im not planning on double pulling simply with a tomahawk, but as of lately ive had brd that rush in full buff and just unload when i get 1 single tomahawk off. even with a relic, that doesnt produce some massive chunk of instant emnity. anything else i do outside of overpower to produce chunks of emnity is at least 2 GCD before its noticable (heavy > skull sunder, for example). when i said "jump the gun" i ment it as people unloading their highest, buffed hits right out the door. if i even have 5sec to get emnity before they fire off the big hits, i lose basically nothing, unless its as has been mentioned.. an early heal/regen prefight. sorry if i caused any confusion with the wording of it all.

    Two possibilities:
    1) DPS attacking too fast too hard.
    2) Tank being too slow or using less than top threat abilities.
Since it's being reported by tank, could be either and I wouldn't know without seeing video.

I will say that this almost never happens with me warrioring. PUG, DF, whatever. Yes, there's certainly that delay before tank can put up the biggest enmity abilities, but somehow it's rarely a problem. Maybe you just got over-enthusiastic DPS. But if it happens repeatedly, have a look at yourself to see if you can improve something.

    - Best damage weapon
    - STR, crit, det, etc
    - Be quick. Get your 2nd or 3rd hit before their 2nd hit. Don't let any gaps between skills.
    - Use damage cooldowns: berserk, Internal Release, Unchained, or maybe STR potion.
    - If moving quickly from 1 fight to next, put up Maim at very end of fight.
    - etc

In those situations there's only one thing you can do:
Step #1: Stun the mob the DPS is "opening up" on. Then pop a Damage buff (FoF/Berserk) and Flash to get hate on the "other" adds.
Step #2: Use Fast Blade/Heavy Swing on the mob
Step #3: Once the DPS has landed their second/third attack, Use Provoke (Off GCD) to put you back on top of the enmity list, immediately followed by Savage Blade/Skull Sunder, then Rage of Halone/Butcher's Block.
    Step #4: Flash.

Hate is now back on you. Enjoy.
