    The reason is simple: Weapons are the only thing that only drop on T5 regardless of class. Changing everything on T5 to ilv95 would mean that some classes would have i95 belt or accessory (minimal stat dif) while others would have i95 legs (which would be considerably higher stat difference between i90 and i95). In other words, some classes would get more relevant drops than others. Don't forget that some classes have more T5 drops than others, which again, would make things unfair. 1 healer drop X 3 bard drops, for example.

    Simply changing the loot table to make all secondary loot the same category would piss a lot more people off because a lot of people buying myth gear takes into account T5 drops when gearing up.

    Also, since I mentioned myth gear, let's not forget you can get everything else with myth, but not the weapon. Increasing iLv of non weapons could possibly render some myths useless earlier than others.

    So you are against more ilvl95 ? If TT drops ilvl95 weapon,shield and Legs. All ilvl95.

    With new 450 myth cap, CT ilvl80 gear, ilvl90 extreme primal weapon and accesory. There no excuse to not be geared enough. Average ilvl 80, acc capped and a ilvl90 weapon should be enough. Current TT drops is very unfair to bards.

    titan weapons are i lvl 70 so they are not on par with relic or moogle mog weapon.

Relic has the chance to be made into +1 so it's not gonna put people off getting that, and in the case of Titan most people get their relics soon after killing him so they don't really try for the weapons anyway. The main reason people do Titan is to complete the relic quest making the weapons that drop a bonus for alt jobs you're levelling, or they sell wins of course but most likely if they're selling they'll already have relics.

    It's been confirmed numerous times. By Yoshi P himself.... It's not hearsay. just search for it.

    I'd prefer though that Twintania drops tokens to upgrade relics to +2 though (assuming you had the +1). In addition to the other drops. Some people might prefer upgrading a relic to 95 than say getting a twin weapon - as those change your BiS items around a ton. Though the only way for +2 should come from Twin or equally difficult content ~

    pretty sure the whole idea is to give proper motivation to fight twintania and since every weapon from coil is from her while armor is pretty randomly distributed it is the obvious choice.
    also with relic+1 being basically a freebie and a new level 90 weapon coming out too, making twintanias slightly stronger is probably the better option overall instead of a bunch of secondary stat changes

    since they didn't add any new level 90 armors that problem doesn't really exist for anything else

    I think you answered your own question. Bard has 4 items that drop in turn 5. If you think about that for a second, you'll see that means bard would have 4 level 95 items whereas the other classes would only have 2. I assume they chose weapons because it is an easy change that affects all jobs equally.

    Except for black mage. The BLM allagan weapon is 1H meaning you need the shield to compensate for the stat loss. The shield, as far as I know, is not getting a buff, and hasn't even been confirmed to drop anywhere in coil. Not to mention that BLM needs to win TWO separate drops to be on par with everyone elses ONE drop.
