I'm not sure if this hasn't been mentioned before, but I had this idea last night. The new jobs are unlocked based on what class combined with certain skill sets used. For example if a CON sets up mostly healing spells, your class will turn into white mage. If the skills are changed a bit, you'll turn back into CON. Now if you set it up with mostly nukes, you'll turn into black mage.

What is the benefit of making your CON turn into WHM or BLM when you can already do that? Well the only thing I can think of is added bonuses. Say you're a CON right now, and you heal everyone just fine. A cure 1 spell will land around 200 hp heals for example. I don't really know how much it actually heals up. If you unlocked WHM a regular cure could heal up 300 per hit, or perhaps it could make it use less mp.

Or if you unlocked BLM, the bonuses could be higher hit accuracy bonus, nukes will hit harder. Or if you set up your skills to unlock RDM the enfeebs will have a higher landing rate and lasts longer on mobs.

I had this idea because one of the mods said a lvl 50 GLD would unlock a lvl 50 PLD. So I started thinking. Perhaps if certain conditions are met based on your skill sets. It was when I partied last night and had an 8th member join the party. Big 3d letters came out "Full Party". When a person left the party, it says "Light Party".

Now what if your GLD set up (for example only) Provoke and Cure spells in their skill list and the condition to unlock PLD was that, big letters would show up "Paladin". Take the cure off and "Gladiator" would show up.

Unlocked jobs at a whim based on what skill sets you set as. Sounds reasonable? Don't flame me if you don't agree ^^
