The last week of Titan Sells...HM Nerfs are upon us!

So as everyone should know by now, the hard mode primals are getting nerfed via the echo buff when the patch hits next week. If you didn't know this you're behind on the infoz brah.

But yeah, your fond memories of finally beating Titan HM? I hope you recorded your runs, because the patch is going to take that experience away. You could always just find a party willing to all cancel out the echo buff when it appears, but good luck finding a party that will do that!

Anyway, HM aside, EX is upon us. Will people sell EX? I don't think so. Compared to HM which can all be farmed, there will be little incentive to farm EX, I think it'll just be a one-off thing where you do it to complete the quest then you never touch it again. And i'm not so sure that the casual players which needed help to get their relic will even be attempting the extreme primals, taking away the seller's biggest audience. Thoughts?

I’m happy to see that you adventurers are up for a good challenge and ready to get down and dirty with some difficult content!

Of course in addition to supplementing the end-game with extreme battles and other challenging content, we will also reduce the difficulty of the existing high level content at the same time, as Yoshida has mentioned in previously during Letter from the Producer LIVE.

We're always reading and reporting your feedback, but please understand that when we introduce new content and supplement higher-level events, it allows us to ease up on earlier content. (Of course there will be things added in patch 2.1 that isn't focused on end-game.)

Since people are behind on the info. The rest of you will catch up next week I suppose.

Also, there IS a reason for EX Primals = ilvl90 weapon.

EX primals will give have the free ilvl 90 weapon and the once-per-week ilvl 90 accessory. You can bet your ass people will be selling (and buying) them, even if it's not as popular as Titan HM (since that was a big roadblock to regular relic for a lot of people).

The real question is not if they'll be sold, but for how much. If the accessories have VIT, the demand for them will be quite high, since it'll allow people to upgrade some of those VIT melded ilvl 70 items crafted items they're using for Twintania. However, the once-per-week accessory requires all three primals, so "buying" one accessory will essentially require buying three carries. Charging 400-500k per primal will price out most potential buyers since I seriously doubt very many people are going to be willing to pay 1.5mil for an accessory, but charging ~200-300k might not be worth the time or effort, especially since likely going to have to be a 7-way split instead of the 4-6 way split most Titan sellers do now.

The only thing they've confirmed getting toned down is AK, but that's reducing the difficulty itself, nothing to do with the echo or anything. I always thought it would be 2.2 before they nerfed current endgame (if you can even call Titan endgame) but meh, I don't care either way, Titan is easy anyway.

People who sell runs will still sell runs, and it's gonna be even more expensive because it'll be literally an exchange of gil for myth. You save 900 myth (and philo) and get a iLv90 weapon that will last you until Turn 5.

Remember people who buy Titan HM isn't buying because they want to farm it, they're buying because they want the Relic. It was never about farming anyway. Nerfing hard modes will indirectly promote selling extreme modes because it becomes easier to pug the hard modes.

People buy runs for three reasons: 1. they have the money lying around; 2. they cannot get a party together; 3. they simply can't do it properly. None of these three reasons are related to farming the runs. People who don't buy nor sell runs will do it once and never touch it, perhaps only do it again to help out buddies; people who sell it will still sell; people who buy it will still buy.
