COIL for alts?

I tried looking up a post but couldn't find it...I'm assuming it has been talked about.

Is it ridiculous or a good idea for square enix to allow players to run coil on their alt classes.
I would love to do coil on the rest of my classes but being locked out because I'm on one character is a bummer.

I suppose I could go level a brand new character
but whats the fun in that after trying to max out all classes on your main?

If they allowed you to do coil on your other classes I guess it would defeat the boredom most people are having with the game
I know you'll be doing the same content but as a different class and is more fun and more variety :P

any who please square enix! add this feature
I feel like my alts are just useless and only used for farming philosophy lol

Start a new character in another server, meet new people, do different stuff with others. 50% of the fun comes from the social aspect of the game!

Give them time , SE aren't retards they will realise this and code it so you can cap each job separately .

wait, so if i went to a turn 1, then progressed it with my monk, i cant use my white mage or warrior after??? must be monk?

I don't understand how people can't gear an Alt I honestly have no clue, sure you can't FULL-il90 it TODAY, but you can get respectable gear for it.
Bard (Relic lv80, armor il87, accessories il79)
Warrior (Relic lv80, armor il70, accessories il70) - Relic + Darklight ... pretty standard coil-ready alt
Scholar (Relic lv80, armor il60, accessories il60) - Relic + Amdapor ... I have healed turn 1 (multiple times) without being carried by the second healer... yeah my gear could be better but it CAN be played
Summoner (Ifrits lv60, armor il60, accessories il60) - Primal + Amdapor ... I have my ifrit win, I just haven't blown the 900 tomes for relic. I wouldn't go in to coil, but I can reasonably complete all primal level content.

Sure relic + full darklight is a LOT of time grinding dungeons but you don't NEED that to play the game, you don't even NEED that to not be holding people back. You don't have to ONLY gear 1 job until it's full lv90 w/ a 95 weapon all BIS equipment before you can play something else either. Relax and look at the loot on the turn and figure out what you want and bring THAT job, or make sure your group understands before you enter if you're going on something else.

I think they should make it so you are locked based on role. You progress as a tank, as a healer, and as a dps.

So: Turn 1 on pld, can be the leader to enter 2 as war or pld. Same for 3 and 4,
Can now re-enter 1 as a healer or a dps, but can't be the one to enter 2 (until you do 1 as each role).

This would triple the amount of content in the game for end game players, and finally give us something to do with our alts. I would love to heal coil, but I only get to go in once, and thus I'm stuck as pld.


Change coil lock out to be based on combat role!
