well tried to use raise but it no longer raise players during combat.

Only the Arcanist skill Ressurect works in combat now sadly.

if you are seriously ignorant, here is the trait that gives CNj a combat rez

arcanist Ressurect is a battle rez by default. its a reason for summoner's utility.

And Paladin was never able to cast Raise in combat, Raise only works in combat if used by a CNJ/WHM of at least level 28. Resurrection of the ACN branch always works in combat.
