Join Pug that does Coil and make friends.

No, Pugs can fail but it doesn't mean all 8 players sucks, and if you don't suck or shows you are willing to learn, you are likely to make friends who don't suck, they you keep forming your own friend list until you have a pretty solid static

Also do read some guides / video before you start donig coil in PUG, that will help

Or join an FC who is needing members.

I have no problems with PUG... Literally all my progress except for Titan was done via PUG and DF. But when you hit a challenge like Coil (keep in mind I've only done 2 successful Turn 1 and 1 fail Turn 2 out of 4 PUGs..) it makes you just want to pray that the group is good, that there isn't someone "elitist" disrespecting another player instead of maybe giving them some pointers, or people dropping from the group after a fail or two..

I'm one of those players who want to progress as quickly as the mechanics / boundaries of the game allows me to.. but the first wall I hit was gearing up with DL, obtaining relic, then upgrading to relic +1, now the current wall is getting into PUG where we can go through all the turns, even if it takes all damn day.. practice makes perfect, right? Instead the PUG lasts about 30 minutes max and I'm back into the cities shouting and waiting on a shout for a group to do Coil.

I just want to pick up and go. Git'r done. Whatever.. not just stand around waiting and hoping that I'm in the right place at the right time to join a decent PUG.


And yes I know the only other solution, obviously, is to create a static group. That, my friend is a job in itself.

Same time zone
Players that can all enjoyably and awesomely/skillfully play their roles
Players who respect the loot system for each individual player to get what they need
Players who have respect for the static/group and overall have a good attitude
Players who even though are in the same time zone can all agree to doing events at a specific time of the day/week

It's simply a trial and error until you have your group.

I agree with you here.. also it just seems like OP is feeling left out of the "good" group. Make your own raid group and make it sign up sheet so everyone has a chance to join if your that strong about helping other FC members.. but im 100% sure that if you were in the static group you would not be preaching about equality within ur FC.

No no no.. it's not being left out of a good group.. It's that I want to be able to do events with my LS in general. Here's the situation at hand.. there's about 18 maybe even 20 players in our LS that are all capable of doing coil.. we have another oh.. I dunno 30+ members that are doing their own thing or still have much to catch up. There's 2 statics in my LS, 16 members, leaving us with 2-4 players that are capable of doing Coil.. so:

1. we're lacking numbers from our own LS members (we all get along and I prefer to do events with people I socialize with)
2. the left over members of the LS that can do coil, have done Coil but are at different Turns. And it's difficult with some members to sync up because of our personal time.. work/family/gym/time zones etc..



Finally.. anyone thinking that I'm whining or begging for pity... you're misunderstanding me. I see a problem with the lockout of Coil.. if future events are going to be like Coil (assuming SE is beta testing Coil to see how the community feels about it), then progress in this game is going to be terrifying for many. This isn't about me.. this is about an issue I've discovered recently, one that effects the community, the issue specifically is how Coil segregates the community, down to the FC and or LS.
