Dressed To Deceive EXODUS SERVER

Trying to complete the Main Storyline quest called Dressed to Deceive, and cannot talk to Flame Capatain Knerl to complete the Quest. I'm not the only one, there is about 10 people in world right now pretty pissed that this has yet to be fixed. Looked further into the Forum and seen this has been ongoing since OCTOBER! I just started playing and am on the free 30days with my game purchase. But if I can't progress the storyline by the time my 30days are up, I will not pay to Play, and will go back to RIFT. How is it a FTP Game like Rift would have immediately had this taken care of, But something you pay for is still waiting to be fixed for TWO MONTHS it seems? Please fix this I like this game enough to Pay, but I'm not gonna pay for something when I can't even progress the main storyline!

I'm playing on PS3 and I have seen you near the broken NPC. Me and a friend are having the same problem. I have submitted tickets, posted here, and called Square.
This is unacceptable. I agree that it's not worth paying for if you can't progress past this point. However, the 2.1 patch is coming out (supposidly) on Dec.17th.
Perhaps with that patch, it will be fixed. If it not, I will be calling Square and raising hell when I do.

It would be awesome to get some kind of dev/support/any Square rep feedback on any kind of status for this bug. I'm seeing way too many people (myself included) crowded around this NPC for this to be a remote issue.

Also, has any player been able to work around it? Were you able to complete it with a new character or did troubleshooting with your existing character eventually work the bug out?

-Any- news on this, even bad news, would be better than radio silence and the "check this forum or this forum" run around.

I called Square again this morning and was told that they are performing a schedualed maintenance on the 13th for EU/NA servers.
They also said that it could potentially fix the bug.

Just logged in to try again for kicks and giggles and I was able to get Knerl to trigger and complete the last part of this quest. Weird that it cleared up with no patch, but maybe it's been fixed?
