Titan stat requirement

Looking at your profile, your gear is fine for Titan. A primal weapon would be nice but if rng is not your friend then just go with what you have.

If you have 2.9-3k HP and know how to dodge/properly DPS, you'll be fine. At least i55 weapon, but Ifrit's isn't needed.

If you aren't a min/maxxer that knows your rotation, and best rotation, you'll probably need ~3.3k-3.4k HP. Not for the HP, but for offensive stats to make up for being worse at your job.

Did it with 2.9k hp, not a single problem. All of that hp thing is just a myth. If your healers know what they are doin the only part you have to worry about is your dps uptime.

Also people who say its fine to do with less then 3k hp (really should be 3.2k) the truth is you got carried by overgeared people.

There is a vast difference between people who know how to play, and those who don't.

Even among those who know how to play, there is a pretty big difference.

If you're in a group with world first boss killers, you can get away with item level 55 or less.

If you're not, then 3-4 pieces of darklight and either Ifrit or Garuda weapon is recommended.

I've been trying to find further information on this for a little bit but I can't seem to find anything stating just how much hp and other stats you should have for Titan HM.

Here's an easy way to figure it out - you have to have enough dps to get through the heart phase and you have to have enough hp to survive the stomps that happen right after the heart phase. The actual numbers vary depending on your group - other dps jobs can pick up the slack and damage can be healed and/or mitigated. It's also very nice to have enough hp to survive being hit by one bomb or one plume - not strictly required, but mistakes happen and lag happens, so having a cushion really pays off (this is where ~3200 hp comes from).
As others have said a "rule of a thumb" is AK gear with at least a few DL pieces and at least Ifrit weapon. Fight can be done with lower gear, but you would be relying heavily on your teammates not messing it up - i.e. not recommended for PUG.

1) If you're with a overgeared static/fc - it doesn't matter much. If they're willing to carry you, just try to get some AK accessories at least.

2) If you're with a fc/static that's not overgeared (this is progression for you) - half darklight, half ak is fine. A primal weapon would be good but the 55 gc weapon can take you through. Try to be above 3k hp or at least very close.

3) If you're with a pug. Mostly darklight, if not all. Primal weapon. I think this is only polite when grouping with strangers, no matter how skilled you are. You are new to the fight, so you might as well be as prepared as you can be beforehand. 3-4 ak is fine, rest darklight.


I think you should decide based on the situation. Situation 2 is not very common now, which is why you get two extreme answers usually.

Personally I think if your not being carried by your friends you should be level 70 with garuda weapon and some DL at least in accessories slot. All of you saying AK gear and I55 weapons are enough are lying to yourselves cause you been doing it too long and probably have a few relics in your group. I have 4 relics and in everyone, anyone with less than a primal weapon and Some DL was being carried. my blm had all ak gear and DL cowl and i think the choker. and could barely survive tumult. I always get a garuda weapon before I take a job through titan and collecting DL is just a natural thing with speed runs going on all the time. Dont gimp yourself. I just got lucky on blm cause was in DF group with the most competent players I ever met and we kill it effortlessly with only 2 wipes. We all had good weapons and appropriate gear. I had only joined for practice as blm and ended up with a win lol.
