Just and some crazy thought on Relic +2, Bard's version:

Gerolt reads the literature you got from Rowena further and tells you that the Artemis Bow +1 can be further improved using a similar method when it was restored from the timeworn version.

You will need to bring him the following:
1) Sarnga (crafted bow, i70) HQ melded with 2 Heavens Eye Materia IV with 100% spirit bond
2) 1 Treated Spurce Lumber HQ
3) 1 Darksteel Ingot HQ
4) 3 Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil (2,700 Phil)
5) 6 Thavnairian Mist (1,800 Myth)
6) 1 White Hot Ember HQ (Titan EM)
7) 1 Howling Gale HQ (Garuda EM)
8) 1 Hyperfused Ore HQ (Titan EM)
9) 1 Dark Matter (Ultima Weapon)

That would be awesome if, if we had a cap of 5k for Tomes and the last four dungeons gave out over 100 Tomes both Myth and Phil. I'd be up for it.

I'm expecting something along those lines, just with less steps. The crafting has already been done so just skip straight to the 3 Extreme primals. Not sure about Ultima being harder than the extremes - I seriously doubt that.
