Voice Chat?

They could add voice chat to ps3 that a bs thing, DCUO has it (even thought its glitchy I blame that on SOE), if DCUO is on PS3 and has voice chat than I think PC and PS3 version of FFXIV could handle it. Sounds more like "i dont want to make voice servers for this game" which is understandable I guess.

Yes but DCUO is not cross platform which is the issue here PS3 --> Voice chat --> PC is what they have issue with. Not if DCUO became cross platform and am wrong here. They would have to ask Sony for help and i think they don't want to waste money just to add voice chat. Best think that would happen if PS3 was allow to use Vent,TS and mumble while playing a online game this would fix that issue.

And you still have the harassment issue not the NA,EU,DU but the JP is the issue when it come to harassment. Don't know about you guys but i got a /tell from a JP for /check and he would call a GM on him. I also saw many players getting ban for 73hours for /check a JP i talk to a few jp who knew ENG and he said some find that harassment.

Isn't this gone in XIV? Or is it just filtered out by default? I know my wife told me she didn't see messages when I /check'd her.

At any rate, they said no to voice support in XI because they thought it would be too jarring to hear Tarutarus with husky, deep voices, men playing Mithras, etc. Basically they didn't want to support it because not everyone would use it the same way.

Yes it filtered out by default you can't tell when someone /check you thank you SE in FFXI was a pain in the butt some jp /tell you "/check no thanks you can have this GM -.- it was really dumb of them but w/e.

They said no on ffxiv because it be to hard to make pc--> ps3 voice chat work and they need a lot of help from sony top of that harassment issue lol.

Are you joking? go read the interview am not talking out of my bum it's facts from SE interviews. Just because you don't remember or never read it or can't understand it does not mean am wrong. I play FFXI for 6years and i know lot's of issue with harassment maybe it never happen to you in your world or never read a story about it but reason there no Voice chat is due to PS3--PC voice chat issue and harassment problem which is more pointing at the JP players then anything. That what Tanaka said in the interview but who knows what yoshi-p would do maybe he would add it

So please do me a fav go look it up yourself before saying someone is wrong i know what am talking about happen a lot in bahamut and two other world i was in. Voice chat could be added but they need to talk to Sony about it and that be to much work for them at the end it better off. If Sony allow ps3 to use vent,ts and so on.

@Eruantien I think it does but i hear people having issue not 100% sure tho but i think it work because of Steam. I don't have a ps3 so i never test PS3--> PC only PC->PC

People did not get banned for using the /check function. I also played on Bahamut for 5 years and never once heard of this.

1) There is no ban category that covers "73 hours" - You can confirm this in the terms and conditions found on the official site

2) Your friend is lying to you

3) Do you really think that GM's would suspend players for using an ingame feature?
