Playing 2 accounts on 1 PC using 2 monitors, possible?

    Hi there,

Im going on vacation to california along with my bf, and im wondering if we can use his PC (top gaming PC) to play ffxiv while we are away from town? My idea is two use his PC with multiple monitors (2), can that be done? I use multiple monitors at work, but, my concern is, that, when you are working on 1 monitor, the 2nd monitor is out of any command. So, i really don't know if that's possible; i'd have to click on 2nd monitor in order for him to gain access to his character.

    Thanks in advance!

If you run Linux it could be done, but not in Windows. In Linux you'd just need to set up two different Wine profiles for each XIV install. Setting those up, though, would be a bit of work.

Not possible on Windows, no. Can only one run instance of the game at a time.

This can be done on Mac in bootcamp. I know it's of little help since he probably doesn't have a mac but as others have said using Wine (similar to bootcamp) might work.

If it works on a bootcamped verion of windows it might be possible

Would you care to share any knowledge you might have or just say hahaha look what I can do, I'm smart and your not, na na na boo boo.

Edit: Ok, since people seem to think I'm honestly asking a question I feel the need to elaborate what I'm trying to say. My point was it was pointless for them to post a picture of them running two programs at once since it doesn't answer the OP's question at all. Not only does it not answer their question but it shows them doing something the OP doesn't know how to do and is asking about. What I was implying was that they should post some information in regards to the question instead of a picture of them running two programs showing it can be done. That is all....thank you.

I will freely admit to not knowing about this as Windows has classically thrown the most vivid of caniption fits when you try to run multiple instances of the same program from the same program, and sometimes from different installs of the same program. It's not really known for it. Clearly that is no longer the case.

It was more of a Direct X problem then a windows problem. Either way what he's wanting to do is gonna take some work and know how to do.
Don't matter what OS your using. which I wouldn't share anyway, not going to give potential TOS violating information out here.

Yeah, I've run 3 XIV ARR's at once on my PC. Thing is though, depending on PC having 2 or more XIVs up will lag either instance at times.

Was just saying that instead of posting a pic of them having done it maybe they could have told the person who asked how to do it. Probably could have made my point somewhat clearer.
