Thread: Soooo these relics... lets talk.

Now I know the team has gone through a lot this past year. We all have. So let me make this clear. I get that we can't be so demanding in times like that of covid. Then and now. Whatever your political stances are.

But.

That doesn't mean we should not give feedback if we feel the need too. So lets just all be honest.

I feel as if this last relic step of ShB is probably one of, if not THE WORST final relics step compared to past relic tiers.

The models... They're plain.
They DO have a different and interesting glow to them. But the glow itself seems a tad plain as well.

It's just all boring. They could've in my mind done 2 things... if not at least one of those. To make them more interesting and worth the time investment. and they've done both of these before!
1: Make the solid "Mass effect" glow rotate around the weapons. (EI: Alexander weapons)
2: Made the neon soft glow of the weapon itself have a nice follow effect. (EI: most Trial glowing weapons)

To not have that and to just have that plain look of the weapon model and glow is just sad to me.

For most final steps new people always would look at them and go "Wow that's cool" and the weapon would have a cool bright stand out from the crowd kind of effect.
The final step used to make a statement. Mostly just "I have no life and decided to torture myself" kind but still it meant something because it not only had a cool and unique effect but also that it was a paaaaain to get. Plus, you as the player who had it would feel like "Yeah I did the thing to get this cool looking weapon."

With these new ones... They just feel lazy, uninspired and cheap.

With the ShB's final step I can barely tell they're even a glow from far away.

They've could've done more. But they didn't. Kinda feels like they stopped half way through.

The only GOOD ones are probably brd and gnb.
The others are ok i guess... still worse then most EX trial weapons.
The worst being NIN, Mch and mnk with drg, and smn/sch right behind. The models themselves are just so lazy how can you say they don't look plain and flat? The glows barely add anything to them. Other then a color you can't change. Which i'd be fine with if they at least moved or something.

I'm not mad. Just disappointed. All that time spent to have a cool looking weapon and instead... I get a book that barely glows pee yellow and shoves the walmart logo in my face.

I personally feel like I've wasted a lot of my time for most if not all the relics looking worse then the glowing titan weapons.

I know they probably wont change/add anything... But I'll hold out hope for a bit into endwalker.

Anyway rate 1 to 4 (1 being best) what you think about the weapons and why. I'd love to see the conversation started about how everyone feels about these weapons.

For me these relics are the worst relics of them all so I'll give it a 4.

But these are just my opinions.
