PLEASE breakd up "A Relic Reborn" into multiple quests

I just accidentally abandoned my "A Relic Reborn" quest while getting rid of some lower level levequests on my duty finder after switching classes. I had already beaten Chimera, and Hydra, and Ifrit and Garuda and I had only Titan left to do. But now going back I see the quest is starting over from the beginning. I have to go recover the weapon again, meld the highly priced materia again, fight the Chimera and Hydra again - is this seriously happening to me?

I spent weeks finding parties and saving up gil and attempting the primals. Where did all the items and money I put into this quest go? can you PLEASE break up this quest into parts, so if I accidentally abandon again I don't have to start from the very beginning again? I was looking forward to finally having my relic weapon, now I am just sad.

I know part of it was not me paying attention, but I seriously remember A Relic Reborn being my oldest quest so it was always at the bottom of my quest tracking list. So I abandoned all my quests save for the last one - but instead of seeing the stardust rod as the quest reward, I was staring at a muffin. A Muffin. My last quest on the tracker somehow was not what it should have been. I am a sad panda.

Can't blame you, the quest tracker is really bad and I seriously have no idea why they even removed the ability to pick which quests you want track, a feature that was already in place and working, for release. I hope you can get your progress back somehow.

They can fix this by bringing back the beta's best feature...the ability to hide quests from the tracker.

To this day, nobody knows why it was removed.
