Crystal Tower Preview (lodestone post)

I've never played any FF titles before 7. But am I safe to assume that the armors shown are inspired by old FF titles. The tank armor reminds me of one but I don't know about the others. At least it's nice that we're not getting reskinned stuff.

Though this is a Dissidia picture, the tank armor is the Warrior of Light armor. We already have the helmet in the game thanks to the CE edition bonuses, but now it looks like we'll have the full set :3

So, is that iLv80 gear for all the Jobs? From left to right; Caster, Bard, Dragoon, Monk, Healer, Tank? Because... Well, ouch... I could accept Darklight being reskins of each other, but Crystal Tower gear? That said, I love Monks set (assuming it is Monks set), and the Bard gear isn't too bad. Dragoon being a blue version of Bard though? Christ... Really love the Monk set though.

Thinking back, the middle one is Onion gear isn't it? I remember concept art of that gear with the character wearing the Onion Helm, similar to the Warrior of Light armor shown with the WoL helm from the launch bonuses.

On the plus side, no Cowls/etc.

Only one I recognise from a previous title is the "Warrior of Light" armour from Final Fantasy I and dissidia.

Should've spent my Myths in SCH gear... that tank set looks gorgeous.

It seems that this is how armor sets are going to work for the forseeable future. Tank heavy armor has it's own look. MNK/BRD/DRG will have 2 different armor designs and 2 of the jobs will share 1 of the designs and swap colors. Then the caster/healer set will be the same design but color swapped and the healer set seems to gravitate towards always being white.

And of course. All of these are undyeable.

Most likely the Lalafell is in Healer gear (WHM/SCH) the white & red one is BRD as seen here.
