What ever happened to my companion?

It'll be nice to have something other than a chocobro as your companion. Perhaps in a future expansion you can have a GC trainee/recruit once you reach a certain level.

Kinda like the my little chocobo quest. It shouldn't be too hard to implemend and at the very least they can use the same mechanics as a chocobo.

Chocobros are great, but they get boring, especially if you see a sea of them during FATES

SE didn't find the Path Companion suitable in ARR, as its main function (as far as I'm told, I'm not a 1.0 player) was to assist you in instanced battles. Now instead every instanced battle has normally an NPC that will cure you or tank or damage the boss alongside you.

This is one of the features I regret having missed the most by being unable to play 1.0 back then (wasn't my choice. I've had the game and account since XIV came out, in fact I'm Legacy, but I was never rich enough to afford a PC that could play it.).

You lied. I only did that to lalafells. I did not do that to my companion. And they are not chicken nuggets. They are called pietse nuggets. Ala Mhigan are dumb, but not that dumb to believe those are chicken nuggets when no chicken are found everywhere.

Given that L'haminn appeared to be in the recent 2.1 trailer, I'm incline to say our Path Companions will be back... Assuming we ever go to Ala Mhigo, that would be the perfect time to reintroduce them.

I wanna go to Ala Mhigo so bad. Not only is it my character's "homeland", but I just know that's where we will get SOLDIER class that will branch to a tank Samurai, or a dps Dark Knight.

And As for companions, I want a mog companion, raising him gets him different hats and weapons instead of barding..... so cute bro.

I was actually thinking that as well, but then there's not really anything there saying it's L'haminn and you only see the back of the Miqo'te's head in the trailer.

my highest class in 1.0 was alchemy, so naturally I grew rather attached to my companion. this topic makes me depressed
