    First person view mode

    I'd like to see my hands, weapons, feets, hat, goggles shades, etc.. in first person view mode. Just for the role play feeling.

    (Note : all the rest are ideas and opinions I have, if you are a busy man go straight to my death penality idea wich is the only serious idea in there. I think its a good one all the rest is cloud digging because im bored . I also rated them ***** (5 stars is an idea as good as the pizza pocket concept) (1 star is as good as anima concept) for your convenience)

    **Talking about goggles, why not implement chests, ghost enemy, etc, that can only be seen with certain goggle type.

    *1/2 Talking about chest, why not let ppls places chest randomly on the map and store item in it. Ppl would try to find hidden spot, and ask LS to guard LS members chests from other players/barbarian that can try to unlock them. Would increase LS cooperation and storage capacity.

    ***Talking about LS cooperation, FFXIV minigame should be a tower defense game such as crystal defenders for iphone. The variety of class and strengh of playable defenders is directly associated with your LS class/rank members. You play matchs with ppl, bet crystals, get addicted. U'll get to want to Grow your LS, boost your class,rank. Quest for new playable map. play solo with full army control or invite LS to play their own character.Would look nice with 8bites NES classics characters.

    **1/2Ppls should be able to make "friend" with certain enemy type. Those would help you when your in danger and wont attack you unless you break the friendship. Friendship can be made by killing this Mob type main enemy queen,king (new kind of NMs), acording to elemental resistence, location, game story, or whatever it could be. Just for more strategy gameplay. The longer you are friend with squirrel, or the more enemy king/queen you kill, the stronger theyll be for you. If you kill an antling queen In the western thanalan, sheep will be on your side until you break the pack. You can only manage one friendship at the time.

    **Talking about friendship, party affinity should grow stronger the more and more you party with your party buddys. At a point, you can also learn basic skill from is main class/job as an party afinity reward. Restriction would be that you can only use that ability with that person in your party unless you learn it by urself.

    *Their should be a way somehow to be an outlaw. Like if you dont do you main story quest 5 rank after its available, you become a pvp target. The good : barbars will provide stuff and repair you for free, you can get their protection if you go in a barbarian village. It's fun. It end when you get back on you main story. The bad : you can't go in the citys, so soon or later youll get back on your main story quests.

    ***1/2Ppl were asking about death penality. Let's say that that getting unconscious would make you gradually forget learned skills. Like if you die 5 time you forget a easly forgetable skills, some skill requiere to die 20 time to forget them. Depend on the way you died : poison dead, weapon hit, magic hit , etc... different set of skills would be affected. Those skills would be then learned but forget and would require scroll to be remembered. That or to developp party affinity with someone with that skill (see other confusing idea above) Thats it. Think about it as brain damage.

    *Anima is so wrong in everyway. It's the less creative way to transport character in a game ever. Even the pipes in super mario bros. had more sense, it was plumber related. I dont like to say this but something went wrong creating transportation that we dont know about. Anima concept is the equivalent of the car concept, both are ruining their recpective world in a stupid way. There were certainly other plan and du to a lack of time they poped the anima concept. Its my guess. There is no story behind anima, no explanation on how ppl can move from place to place like gods from rank 1. My idea is to get rid of it 100%. It cut the pleasur of discovering places and the chalenge to get there. I've been to mor dhona at rank 15, i felt like a 10 yrs old in a strip club. Very inapropriated. Then at 18 the boy will already be bored with nude women because he spent time going there only because he can. Then he will constantly need more than usual ppl because he had it to easy at first. Thats how my character feel right now and its very hard to reverse the psychological damage. Just dont do the same with new players. Please. Chocobo , airship, and boat. Don't scrap a winning receip. Its like going to mcdo and no bigmac on the menu but only pills to cut your hunger down. Id still prefer mario bros pipes to anima in FFXIV.

    I know this won't happen. Just having fun.

    I'd like the monsters not going through me 100% of the time while in battle during 1st person view. Is that really too much to ask? I remember the game having less of these problems when the collisions still made some sense...

    It was turned off because the wards became impossible to navigate, and making collision selective based on entity-type is actually not the easiest thing in the world.

    The AI just needs to mimic the collision, but again, not completely easy, needs to be written for.

    I'm a developer for another game an it wouldn't be that difficult to code the Collision [On]>Off Switch for the FF XIV Config Executable disabling it ingame would be a hard thing but to be able to place that option in the Config thats easy as acouple command lines AI has nothing to do the the Collision its what the model was made with you add a modifier to the model which would be collision an soft body depending on what you wanna do with it an then edit the outter soft body with Collision an inner soft body to 0 with no Collision AI doesn't do anything i use the some of the same modeling programs as SE used for this game like Blender an Maya im not really sure if they use 3ds max or Zbrush

    I don't think you're fully aware of the issue being discussed.

    Previously, collision required that monsters path around players in order to reach a target that lay beyond the players in the way. This allowed players to "wall off" a less-defensible player in order to give the party more time to recapture hate and get the monster back to the tank. When collision was turned off globally, this tactic no longer worked. This isn't something you can allow the players to turn off on the client-side, it's something that has to be managed on the server and handled on the client (because the client doesn't tell the AI mobs where to go).

    When I mentioned AI, I was saying that if you turned off collision globally so that all entities could collide, you could use enemy AI to "emulate" maintaining distance from player targets to pretend that there's collision enabled. This has the added plus of allowing players to overtake entities when a combination of latency and collision essentially requires the player to run "around" a monster in order to catch it (see FFXI).

    Because if you have noticed so far most suggestions of new things have been disregarded, other features similar to this have been responded with "there are no plans for it" or ignored. And then something related to a system already in place will get answers. So with this sort of attitude it seems the development team only plan to do what they want and this forum is just to see what opinions we have on their already existing ideas and plans. (And I doubt something like this in their mind) I dont think they should have taken over shoulder third person cam because it could make Archer feel more FPS like, but they removed it for 1 reason or another.
