    Help needed, strange error when starting up launcher...

    This is what I get when I open the launcher....

    Edit: Ive reinstalled the game and still come up with this error, game works fine on my other PC...

    that URL in the error message eventually leads top Anchorfree ( http://www.anchorfree.com ) in a round-about way. If you aren't using their VPN (Hotspot Shield), might want to start scanning your system for malware/rootkit infection. If you are using their service, may need to go to them for support--can try getting in the game without the VPN to see if it clears up to test if that is what is tripping the error.

    You're spot on my friend! After I reinstalled the game and it still wasn't working I decided to close every application running in the background apart from my anti virus and malware it all started to work...

    In the effort of finding out which software was causing the problem I opened them back up individually and the final one was Hotspot Shield and bam! ARR launcher came up with that error... I've been using that service for ages while playing ARR with no problems so I will contact them to see if they know anything about it

    Out of interest how did you determine that was the problem?

    Now to re-update the game (>_<)

    It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved.
